PROTON Holdings Bhd akan memperkenalkan model baru sepenuhnya, iaitu kereta generasi baru pertama yang direka dan dibangunkan selaras keperluan perundangan dan peraturan automotif global terkini, pada pertengahan bulan depan.

Sumber dalaman berkata, model yang dikenali dengan nama kod P3-21A itu akan dijual pada harga antara RM60,000 hingga RM70,000 seunit, sekali gus menepati tanggungjawab syarikat sebagai pengeluar kereta nasional yang sentiasa memasarkan kereta dengan harga mampu milik tanpa berkompromi dengan tahap kualiti.
“Nama rasmi model baru yang dilengkapi dengan enjin Campro 1.6 turbo itu sudah pun dimuktamadkan kumpulan pengurusan PROTON, manakala pelancarannya pula dijangka akan dibuat Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib Razak di Pusat Kecemerlangan PROTON di Subang Jaya, Selangor,” katanya.

Menurut sumber berkenaan, model baru itu juga akan merapatkan jurang segmen kereta antara Persona dan Inspira, seterusnya memberikan lebih banyak pilihan kepada pengguna memiliki kereta.

70k is good price no matter how shitty proton track record is. This is their chance to gain back the trust. If they fail with p3-21A, even malaysian will never buy proton anymore.

RM 60k is the price that you pay for C-segment car in China.

wait.. does passat cc consider as c-segment car?

I expect the medium range spec to be sellable, then highest spec. Lowest spec might not sell well because it is 5 MT.

I see you're one strong supporter of Proton, from your previous posts i saw before.

Sure this car worth it?Not like the Waja 1.8(renault engines)? With too many electronic stuff till Proton can't even fix it what they sell.

P3-21A looks good though 

No.

C-segment cars are Corolla, Forte, Civic, Sylphy, Jetta, Focus, Elantra etc....

B-segment cars are Vios, City, Verna

It is just that, P 3-21 A caught my eye for one reason.............spec in comparison to Corolla 

Good price but sales will be bad as Bank Negara already tighten loan rules. Now must calculate based on nett income not gross income like last time.

10k different than inspira 1.8. so i guess its a stiff competition in proton c segment models itself.

Inspira will stop production i think. I don't see Inspira is relevant after the release of P3-21A.

Not a Persona replacement, then.

If MT with turbo, alot of people will buy it for fun.  And alos heard rumors of the hatchback version will come with manual turbo.

car problem is mostly due to the service centre lor. somemore owner memang no check oso.

im pretty sure its under DSZ.. if under mahalel, i would say no more to proton.. mahalel did a lousy job with the waja and gen2.. the gen2 suppose to be a step forward to proton, yet it was a 3 steps backwards for proton..

from where did you hear that? News didn't say reduce tax.. Only locally assembled yes.

Like the VW polo or Golf, they enjoy flat rate import duty 30% and local taxes 75% which is the lowest since their engine capacity is small.

Yet they sell their car high like bigger capacity engine which have 105% tax.

they wanna rake in huge profit margin bro..
anyway vios only got taxed with 75% + 10% sales tax but they sell their vois J at 73k..
go figure..

they give survey form to my gf. when question about price. my gf put rm60-65k 

They have been doing this all this while because of they can sell high price and people eventually will still demand for import cars.  Can blame proton lack of competitive with foreign car makers. 

That is why i said if P3-21A made an impact in local markets, foreign car maker will lower their car price. They have alot of margins to begin with.

LOL, gov isn't that stupid in sucking their nations' money. Don't you forget they have a lots of crap tax?  Hence, the price will be multiplied. All the reason is simple: to protect local cars, whilst the hidden agenda is to suck up our money and on the other hand "stampede" the ppl's head, if you know what I mean.

And yes, I'm driving Proton coz I've no other choice.

No.  Our tax is high. And proton also kena that high tax same as import. Only 30 percent minus if CBU. If CKD, they only kena 10%.  Im pointing out the margins of foreign car final pricing. They can easily lower their price, but they don't.
