My defy is still running on Android 4.0.1 (ICS) - MIUI-1.12.16. yeah, yeah, yeah.... i know it is kinda outdated since it is from last year's build, but still serving me well. It is now overclocked to 1.1GHz by dafault.

Sorry for being such a newb, but I keep reading that after I upgrade to Froyo (from Eclaire) ill lose my ability to return to stock rom. Ill only be able to use custom rom that matches my CG version. Well that is what I understood atleast. Im on Eclair 2.59 and saw in a few guides that the best way to upgrade was to download a nand backup of the Froyo i want to upgrade to as long with its sbf, then i can preserve downgradability. However can't seem to find any nand backup of froyo, the one in XDA was uploaded in multiupload which sadly is dead. :S .... any help? am i understanding this issue wrong?
