has anyone experienced their n9 battery dead, then when you try to charge it, it only charge a while. but not enough to start the phone.

then when you try to turn it on it goes on it doesnt go past the nokia screen

Do you have Whatsapp on another device and try to register on N9 using the same SIM? If so you need to delete your account using the other device and try again. If it doesn't work you may have to email Whatsapp to unblock your account.

Whatsapp has wised up and is blocking registration from unofficial clients like wazapp and Yappari (for N900). At the moment you are out of luck until the developers find a way to overcome this.

if yes..dont close the app, just say "no" if asked and wait abit longer

Did you save any sms in your sim card? Or do you have more than 2000 messages? If you have more than 2000 then you should transfer some of it to Nokia Suite instead. No problem with my messaging app, but I find it so plain without the 'Drafts' folder. Have to save in Notes instead

I used to be able to transfer my messages from my phone to my SIM card when I was using my previous phone. Don't think it's possible in the N9, but let's say you saved some messages into your SIM when you were using another phone it should be there in the SIM when you were using your N9 too. To check for sim messages, go to Settings > Applications > Messages, the SIM messages section is at the bottom. Click 'import' to check if you have any. If you have none then I suggest you re-install the firmware?

P.S. From the Nokia support website: Class 2 messages (for example, service messages from operators) are stored in the SIM card message memory. Once the SIM card message memory is full, Class 2 messages can't be received.
So what I think happened was your SIM message memory is full already. Maxis tried to send a message to your phone (e.g. Your usage has reached RMXX.XX) but couldn't, so it told you that memory is full?

the mass storage is using FAT32 partition, which will only accept a file up to 4.2GB ( if i remember correctly, or just 4GB), anything bigger then that, regardless of how much empty space u have, it will just show u not enough space bla bla bla, you can try with a HDD with a FAT32 partition, it will give u the same problem. Solution? split the movie into 2 parts. I'm not too sure if N9 has the kernel support for NTFS or not, you can try to look it up, but chances are if you forcefully change the partition format to NTFS ur phone won't be able to read the drive anymore ( FAT32 can be converted to NTFS without erasing the data inside of the drive, but not the other way round )

is it possible for you to post the full video detail here? screen resolution, encoding format, bitrate
if you have windows media player installed in your PC, just press shift + F10, see under media info
i suspect while you got the file size correct, the screen resolution or the codec is not correct. i remember it supports 640 x 480 h.264 video at max, any resolution higher then that it will say the type of video is not supported. heck, sometimes i was half way playing a video, the video suddenly stop and show me that error as well
