HolyShyt... Already one month, am I already late for doing that?

guys, noob here, want to ask, laptop nowadays come with 4 RAM slots? just used CPU-Z to check, there appeared 4 RAM slots. But since only 6GB RAM, only slot 1 & 3 is used.

if that's the case, feel like adding another 2GB to it.

don't flame me, the last time i got access to RAM slot is with a old DELL.

WiFi card installed. Works great on default Windows drivers.

I plan to strip out the third antenna from the Fuji and add it into the top of the screen - the bezel where the camera is located.

At the same time, remove the camera and mic from in there. I don't like having a camera spying on me without my express permission.

Seems like way too many games and applications turn the camera on and then don't turn it off.

how about setting on bios ?
did we need to change something on it?
i heard about UEFI and CSM..
but i dont really understand it..
please...really need a guide here

Guys, I need real help here. I had this N55s for almost a year. Recently, the laptop seems to heat up very fast, especially during game time. (played World of Tanks) and when the laptop heats up the fps drops to single digits. Furthermore, sometimes after closing the game, the screen flickers for some time. It usually gets back to normal after some time. This stuff happened before but right now it has gotten more frequent and the flickering time is longer.

What's wrong? Is the graphic card the problem? Or is it the thermal paste? Should I update the graphic driver or something?

Probably a bit off topic here....
But do any of u guys ever have problem installing STAAD pro on N55SF-352V ?
I installed it once before and it runs fine. After I'm done using it, I uninstalled it to clean up my lappy.

Now I tried ti re-install it due to work and I can't seem to get it to run.

The installation seems to run fine (by the looks of it). But whenever I double-clicked the program to launch it a pop-up comes out [attachmentid=3576434]

I searched the internet and apparently this error is due to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable thingy. But it seems that different programs utilize different fixes.

Anyone have any idea on how to resolve? Thanks.

P.S. : Also, anyone know how to get the benchmark of lappy's GT555M?

Anyone tried switching Asus U series laptop HDD to SSD before?
Wonder how hard it be and if it will void the warranty. U36SG owner here..

if change the DVD-ROM to SSD? currently the DVDROM is sitting there doing nothing, so i plan to remove the DVD ROM and stick a SSD to it, but it'll void the whole warranty rite?

nope. my friend just did that day, but he put HDD, but i plan to put SSD

No... He removed the dvdrom, and replaced it with a HDD. which means that his laptop got 2 HDDs now.

i planned to do the same, except that I'm replacing it with a SSD. which means that I got 1 SSD and 1 HDD.

hi guys, my N55SF display driver keep crashing when playing game..here's what ive done yet :

1) clean fan, reapply thermal paste..tested when playing games gpu - 84, cpu - 70~C max
2) unistall GPU driver, update, rollback
3) reformated from windows 8 to windows 7
4) memtest, OCCT, furmark, speedfan

eventhough ive tried all, none solve my prob that is “Display driver stopped responding and has recovered”..sometimes if i ignore the notification ill get BSOD..

Hi all..yesterday just bought Asus S200E. Open at night n heard annoying fan noise...i think i get defective unit. Is it true in 7 day time they will give one to one exchange

like i stated ive tried almost everything suggested from net.

btw did i say i reformated my windows and the problem still occur..and i tried many vesion of drivers edy..also i doubt its my cooling problem since max temp is 70+C for my CPU and GPU around 80+C..

ahh, i fail to understand why my place condition temp is a factor since i my CPU and GPU temp is at acceptable temp when i do stress test? even if its hot outside but the lappy itself is not overheating its suppose to be good right..anyway just to clear some doubt my place is same like most malaysian household, around 37~39C

like i said, ive clean the fan already, tear down my lappy and also replace my thermal paste..

mine idle CPU temp 40~C and GPU temp is 50~C..on full load only hit 70C and 80~C

tried latest, most stable, previous known workable driver edy still same issue

btw, there are time when my driver fail even when temp for both CPU and GPU less than 70C so i highly doubt its overheating..since ive tried clean format with old driver, latest driver still got prob...i also doubt it software problem   ..this happen randomly, sometime 5min in game..sometimes 1hour+ ingame
