Hmmm... I am a previous user of ACDSee 7. Now I want to change to adobe products. What I'm looking for is a software that can view numerous type of pics and do some editting/touchup. I checked adobe product line and I saw so many types of software. I don't know which to buy and I don't want to waste money for something I didn't wish for.
Products in mind: 1) Photoshop® Elements 4.0 for Windows 2) Photoshop® Album 2.0 3) Photoshop® CS2
Which should I get?

QUOTE(asellus @ Dec 30 2005, 06:31 PM) From ACDSee to Photoshop CS or Elements is quite overkill I think. If simple retouching/editing means rotating/sharpen/blurring/red eye removal/resize etc then you can always use FastStone Image Viewer. Example:- Haha... I want to upgrade myself in the aspect of photography mah... Lol... What's the difference between Photoshop® Elements 4.0 and Photoshop® Album 2.0? I don't see great difference in them. Which is better? Or should I just dig some money for CS2?

QUOTE(asellus @ Dec 30 2005, 06:41 PM) I guess if you really are good at it, just get Photoshop Element then. Photoshop Album is for people who wants to reorganize, retouch or edit their pictures. Photoshop Elements is basically Photoshop CS without PANTONE. Element doesn't help you organize though. I think I won't need Pantone. What can I do with it at home? hehe... What kind of organization does the Photoshop Album can do? Is it like grouping photos according to date etc?

QUOTE(bryan69 @ Jan 19 2006, 10:11 PM) any software dat is free prefabably to edit my mp3's.. edit as in minus vocals n all ? //Thread merged Audacity came to my mind... http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ But actually, removing the vocal in mp3 will cause loss of quality. If you want to retain it's quality, I suggest that you do not remove the vocals in mp3. This post has been edited by mengsuan: Jan 20 2006, 02:30 PM

QUOTE(hcloh @ Mar 15 2006, 05:46 PM) Please recommend a software to: Make all the digital photos as slideshow, and add with songs as background. Sofware that is easy to use, reliable, fast, with a lot of functions. Thanks. ACDSee. But it is not free.

QUOTE(nickenstein @ Apr 25 2006, 08:50 AM) any good recommendation for a free registry cleaner tool? I would greatly recommend ccleaner which has been mentioned by samurai 1337. I've been using it since a long time and I never encountered any problem with it. With regular use of ccleaner, your computer will be maintained in tip top condition.

QUOTE(vpam5221 @ Oct 30 2006, 09:30 AM) In that case, what is the next best free thing to nero In another matter, can anyone tell me how to transfer the XP home lisence from my old Laptop to new Laptop. I don't have installtion cd.. Nero is not only a CD burning software. It has a lot of other features in it. Free softwares don't come with so much features. If the XP in your old laptop is an OEM license, you cannot transfer. Likewise, if it is "retail" just get another installation CD and type in the old product key when installing. Wonder if this suits you: http://www.cdburnerxp.se/This post has been edited by mengsuan: Oct 30 2006, 12:01 PM
