Final fantasy 4-I was planning to get a medabot gamepak for my game boy but no money, having cycled to the neighboring town and not wanting to go home empty handed, I pick FF4 without even knowing what game it is sweat.gif . Never regretted it. I treat it as a duty to wake up at 6AM to play it. Then test come, my parents took away my gameboy, and I cycled back to the other town to get a new gameboy so I can continue playing.....

Crisis core-spend 3 hours on train from SG to MY fighting boss. Got defeated in the end.

Mw2-first time got chopper gunner legit without stealing care package biggrin.gif

Gow3-punching Hercules in the face

Heavy rain- still remember the time and date I completed it. Best console game ever.

And of course ace attorney series especially first three..

My best moment was when Metal Gear Solild made good use of the force feedback using the Dual Shock controller, in the part where the chopper attacked Solid Snake, and the vibration was a concerted one in tune with the helicopter's movement. It was a life changing experience !

Agreed. MGS was best and I will remember forever on the part where it ask you to plug in your controller to controller port 2 !! That way he cannot read your mind for the Psycho Mantis fight.

I won't say "greatest" moment, but my most memorable one was when I came back from the 1996 Microfest (remember this?) with my dad. Normally knowing my dad, if I can ask even for a box of floppies, it would have been enough to keep me happy. Up until that point I was still using an AMD 386-SX/33 with 4MB RAM. No CDROM drive, no sound card. We came back from that Microfest with those 2 things. And also a pair of 39W speakers. Oh man, the ear to ear grin I had at that time.

For those who remember, most PC games from the 80s and early 90s used to have support for PC Speaker. Not actual speakers mind you, but the tinny 1-bit speaker inside your PC. Sometime in the mid 90s, a lot of games removed PC Speaker support, instead requiring a dedicated sound card to work at all. Games like X-Wing were one of the first to require a sound card. I spent the whole night just playing games, listening to all my games in 16-bit sound! The CDROM drive turned out to be crap (local brand, don't ask), but the sound card I remember as my most memorable gaming moment. It was "just" an ESS 16-bit card. Hardware come and go, but that card was the single most enjoyable time of my gaming life. I'm too macho to tell my dad how much I love him, but yeah, I loved him sooooo much for that. Fighting back tears right now just remembering that moment. Sniff! Thanks dad! wub.gif

Metal gear solid 4: the moment snake steps onto the helipad on shadow moses, and the theme begins...manly tears were shed. Reminds me of how far the game has come, and our own age as well haha!

Dragon quest viii: flying through the skies on the godbird's egg, just to hear the theme. Dq fans know what I'm talking about, and for those who don't, you have to experience it.

Yeah, that was very ingenious. I cant stop worrying the way things are right now, almost all big game titles are too commercialized that they lost the creativity that was presented in games back then.
