guys, i need some help confirming here.

i've just checked out the "talking" anniversary prime. but from all the pictures i've seen for the original 20th anniversary prime, it is DIFFERENT! why is this? is this some sort of cheaper reissue version? the paint job was horrible, a lot of smearing. doesn't look impressive at all. the smoke stacks look like plastic. price is still high though. some coloured parts are also different.

can someone confirm the status on this guy?

HAHA!! just got myself an mp1 reissue today. not that bad about the legs la. got for 280. can easily fixed back and does not limit the articulation at all. one thing's for sure. it's a hell of a lot better than the dvd anni prime that's currently on sale. i compared both and i'd rather get a cheaper mp1 with removable-leg-that's-not-really-a-problem than an overpriced, badly coloured, less die cast and fake voice actor prime .

overall, glad i made the decision.

yup. i sold my old tf collections with the plan on buying the dvd edition. glad i didn't. a reissue mp1 is far better than the dvd edition. the price is not much different too. plus, i don't have to repaint and mod the smoke stack .

from what i read, it is the same mold. except less die cast(some people says it has the same amount of die cast) and repainted with bad colours. even the battle dmg from the original anniversary prime is there. there's no chrome though. so to my opinion it's really overpriced for a fraction(or even less) of the quality of mp1.

i think it's factory stock. it's not actually reissue. just maybe that it didn't made it pass inspection the 1st time around because of the leg problem. but any gundam modeler can fix that .

as i said it's not actually reissue. takara has no reissue. it's the same as the original mp1. same packing, same package. but his right leg can easily be removed. but it can also be plugged back as easily. people refer to this as the removable leg "feature". i'm quite certain that this is not a reissue but the warehouse stock that didn't make it through inspection the 1st time around, so they keep it. then they sell it again. it's not cheaper though. most shop sells it at the same price as the original. but heck, if you missed the 1st batch(like me), this one is just as good. the leg just requires a little modding so it does not fall apart so easily. either that or get an mp4. cause the original mp1(what's left of it) now cost more than mp4.

interested with the macross. pm me when you got a price tag. maybe i can spare some cash to take it.

all alternators are rm99.90 in TRU, Jusco and the likes. Rm 150 is quite expensive since it still can be found in some branches of the said stores.

really? i saw the nemesis prime in Jusco balakong 2 weeks before i actually posted that. any doubt?

there was still a few of those in TRU 1u about 2 months back, before anni dvd prime arrived. i've held it in my hands at jusco mv. can you prove me wrong now?

i visit 1u about twice a month. of course now you can't find it anymore, either out of stock, or stock returned. you were the one that said, "Wrong you are. I can bet you cannot find this figure anywhere in TRu or Jusco." i did find it, but not now. also, the question was about the "retail" price wasn't it?

hmm....maybe that alternator labeled "nemesis prime" that i actually held in my hands was not the figure we are discussing here. maybe i'm lying.......hmm. . although i failed to see the reason why i need to .
