Finally succumbed to buying this fella while waiting for the Hasbro reissue SW. Looks good in Alt mode. Robot mode is crap.

Got this a few weeks back. Sweet Alt. Much better than the older Ravage.

Love the fact that they used metallic paint instead of the usual flat paint. It really enhances the looks of the car, making it simply scrumptious. Just like a layer of icing over a delicious slice of cake.

Transformation's also easy as pie.

Any idea how i can get my hands on a Transformers 20th anniversary DVD edition Optimus Prime by hasbro? i know its the "ciplak" version of the MP-01 but heck, an MP-01 cost around 4-600 bucks.
*
lol, why is it ciplak?

It is essentially the same as the Takara one save for the hideous paint scheme and the shorter smokestacks. You even get an extra platform that has a voice chip. biggrin.gif

the voice chip is "ugh", I hate the voice when I press the button. Beside the lame attempt of the voice, the figure overall is good, even though there's some change of colour on certain part.
*
lol, I concur with that. What the hell, Peter Cullen should have done it.

The gheyest of all is his blaster. Who the heck had the idea to paint it blue must indeed be a homo.

QUOTE(tsg @ Feb 21 2007, 06:28 PM)
OP hasbro is WUPIWUG  tongue.gif ,dont compare with takara tongue.gif ,hurmm the UM titanium kinda skinny-bot.vehicle mode weird because...empty in the middle laugh.gif rodimus are better in both forms

endless...got ur self this baby?
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Ppl will still have to pay quite a hefty sum of moolah for the 20th Anni OP. tongue.gif

The Titanium series is quite bollocks to be honest. They only look half decent in Alt. mode. I have a slight regret on purchasing SW. sweat.gif

You didn't link the pic properly bro. But yes, I'll be getting that. It'll look good when paired with Convoy.

Well, just did my survey at midvalley and cineleisure... both selling the hasbro at Rm 269.90... was thinking of getting it at Jusco cause i thought it still had the 10% discount, turns out the deal is over (geram). And yeah, upon closer inspection... OP hasbro has a shorter smokestack than the Takara version, my guess is to for child safety... "its all fun and games till somebody loses and eye", if you know what i mean... plus the blaster is blue, to my horror! Well... nothing a can of silver spray cannot handle.
Jusco also had a couple of jetfire classic, megatron classic and a couple of rodimus prime titanium if you guys are looking for them.
*
Bingo, the neutered OP is for the US market. You know how trigger happy those ppl are over there.

If it's any longer, and some obesse fat kid manage to stick his up his arse, it's a lawsuit in the making.

That's not all. Have you forgotten all about Ultimate Bumblebee? And also Leader class OP and Voyager class Blackout biggrin.gif Not to mention all those cool accessories that will be coming out for the TF movie.

I am the ultimate sucker for cars that can transform, hence the obsession with the Alt. series. Plus, Hasbro claims it can auto aim and fire projectiles. shocking.gif

Voice changer helmets? Nay, I'm not into S&M, lol.

However, I am awaiting impatiently for the Optimus iPod.

Interested to see the SW mp3 player. They also recently announced, today as a matter of fact, that there will be Frenzy & Rumble buds to go with it. Jap ppl sure know how to milk TF fans.

Retail prices are approximately RM330 for MP01, RM350 for MP02, RM330 for MP03 and RM600 for MP04.

Do note that this is not the preorder price and the prices also differ from shop to shop.

that's the suggested retail price on the market, but since the competition is on, except 'i think im the best in the town' toy store, other shops may go as low as possible especially for their pre-order customer like rm270 for mp-03, rm480 for mp-04, rm280 for that mp-01 reissue/'old stock'/'rejected'/'unauthorized' whatsoever.. that was back then, now its pretty impossible to get that price range unless the luck is with you or rajin to travel to singapore can everything is always cheap in singapore brows.gif
*
True, everything's cheaper in SG.

But unless you buy tons of stuff, the cost of the trip plus kopi money to our beloved customs is not worthwhile.

Unless it's all paid for by the company, that's a different story. rolleyes.gif

OMFG. shocking.gif

are there any difference between hasbro classics soundwave and the takara book reissue soundwave? if both is same then i think i will go get soundblaster instead... coz i saw 1 shop sell takara book reissue soundblaster at rm240... the price how you all think?
*
The reissue SW is using Soundblaster's mould where it can fit 2 cassettes instead of 1 if I am not mistaken. Do correct me if I am wrong. wink.gif
