DS Line Attenuation 52
US Line Attenuation 28

My DS Line Attenuation went from 46 to 52 yesterday, and i did some test.

When my phone ring (some1 call in) the DS Margin will drop to 15 and my line will stuck. I did try the speedometer test, it was running smoothly until i try to call my line with my hp and the test was "stuck, stuck ..." .

So, what can i do ? coz i always plays and host dota and counter-strike, when some1 call in, the players complains delay and spike lag, but my line did not dc .. It is just like, if some1 call in my line, The connection will be interfere and Spike Lag.

erm... I'll do this test when I back to hometown this weekend

I got a question, what make my SNR margin not stable, the value keep on changing. When connecting, the value is around 28~31, then after sometimes, it drop to 26, sometime 23~24... then sometime is 14~18 and then later goes up again to 24~26. I'm pretty sure that the dsl is not disconnected as the IP remain the same.

as i check thru their troubleshooting
it say frequent disconnection might because of
modem went wrong or some other factors.
can someone determine whether is da modem or da line problem? =/

your line is definitely bad, complaint as many times as you can, until they send a technician come over your place.

SNR Margin Download 3?  rclxub.gif . Is this 1 mbp/s or 512 mbp/s package?

Added on June 16, 2008, 9:14 pmJust call technician, they said it's a random number for SNR margin. Ask me to disable firewall, delete cookies, and set DNS ( How to set it? rclxub.gif )

The solution is I need to reset modem until I get the good DownStream and Upstream for SNR Margin ... sometimes got 11, sometimes got 21, and sometimes got 7 .. like playing lottery .. doh.gif

finally I found that what make my snr margin fluctuate all the times. when I connect the phone line from the socket to the modem directly, the snr margin only fluctuate between 26~27. but when I connect back to the sliptter, the problem happened. but I dont think is the sliptter faulty since I got another spare sliptter to backup, and still same. any other solution?

Subscribing 1 mbps TMnet Streamyx and currently facing "regular" disconnection. I want to know why because as far as I can tell, my connection status is good (hell I get 3x Ds rate, COME ON?!?!?!?) so what gives here?

Anyone can enlighten me as to why my connection is so shitty right now?

please describe your problem more clearly and state your modem/router as well.

So, how's your line attenuation and SNR Margin? Perhaps, you can give an average number you always get  ..  notworthy.gif
*
for downstream
snr margin is around 25 - 31
line attenuation is fixed, 35

Waa .. you live very near with exchange?
Your SNR margin is good, I wonder what range your home and the nearest exchange?  hmm.gif
*
that is what I wonder too. but from the formula calculated, it should be around ~2.5km from my house to the exchange. btw, any real picture of how does the DSLAM exchange look like? maybe I can roda roda around my area to search for it.
