QUOTE(lonetitans @ Jan 14 2008, 12:41 PM) no, i didn't install splitter for all phones. i'm using two phones at home(both same line with the one for streamyx), one in the living room, the other in the bed room. i don't hear noisy noises when i'm using the phone, so i assume i don't need the splitter for the other phones? Its better to install filter/splitter because there is some noise below your hearing level.

QUOTE(chingching84 @ Mar 18 2008, 06:51 PM) with this status, can make report to streamyx? some of my frens say it might be router problem but i dunno how to check.. Borrow a router from a friend and try the test again. If using friend's router is okay, then it is your router problem. That's why I have a spare cheap Aztech 208U for these kinds of purpose. I actually have Linksys WAG54Gv3, Aztech 600ER, Artnet T263R1U & Aztech 208U. This post has been edited by Xybirium: Mar 19 2008, 07:33 PM

QUOTE(chingching84 @ Apr 5 2008, 10:06 PM) ooo ok.. i try that first.. hehe Added on April 6, 2008, 9:14 pmthe tm ppl come change the line liao..but outside onli. inside house the port there, my fren say got 3 wayar putus liao but the technician din change it.. so palia.. change also dun wan change finish... snr margin downstream start at 20, then keep lower by one every minute, upstream 18 line atteanuation 56, 31.. not much changes also.. swt.. TM's responsibility is from the outside line until the demarcation i.e. the small white box. From the demarcation to your phone and the rest of your house is the owner's responsibility. Maybe you can pay a contractor or get a friend to do it for you. Added on April 7, 2008, 10:04 pmQUOTE(Alvinix @ Apr 7 2008, 04:18 PM) is there anything I could do about this? :\ Maybe you can try this troubleshooting from TM website first before you call them up. Your Downstream Noise Margin looks okay but not the Upstream.
Line Attenuation Downstream looks horrible but Upstream should be bearable.
It looks like you are quite far from the exchange.

Maybe you can email them your modem status and highlight the downstream margin. Hope they understand what you email them though...
