For those who never went to Hong Kong, based on my own experience, HK have the best public transports if compare to other country. I not even dare to compare with Malaysia. Japan, UK, France may have the best train (lrt/subway or what ever they call) but HK have all, taxis, bus, ferry, tram, mtr.

If you have android phone, the times table and info can be downloaded to your phone. Search for HK and plenty of software available (which malaysia still lack of this).

ya....initially is was 8...4 was me and my family...another 4 is my uncles family....thn recently add another 2 which is my uncle's relative
and none of them knows how to navigate around HK
all rely on me
so 10 ppl is HKD330

I went to HK all together 5 persons. Taking AA and reach at night. To make things simple I book airport transport with guest house. I know it's not cheap but for me it's the best way for my family. No need to wait for bus, no need to change train, no need to pull big bag (the driver will do it), no need to think about octopus card. All paid to guest house. I just want the trip fun and relax-able to my family.

I won't be going full day. Maybe frm 2 to 8pm. Should be sufficient. Might miss some parades but it's fine for us. At least I would have some time in the morning for others.

So I can skip meals there by Makan outside b4 going to Disney hahahaha.

I gonna book casa. Judging by the pictures I m gonna have a hard time in the toilet but should be fine. My rates is only rm198 per night, can't complain much for this price.
*
frm 2 to 8 you should able to watch the parade and firework, i think...

my trip to Disneyland is from 11am - 5pm, manage to watch a parade only. 6 hours not enough, missed 2 area but too hungry already that time, so left early.

guys, my fren is going to hongkong end of this month...
at first, i tried arrange itinerary for her...but end up, she has no confident as she dont speak chinese.

anyone of you have any local travel agent, which could assist her.
please PM me.. muslim traveller...
4 days 3 night (flight booked)
*
I am muslim.. I not speak chinese... I just go there without any agent help with my family... no problem at all.

why worry.. HK is best place for visitor... all travel info available on internet and can downloaded to smartphone. MTR, ferries, buses, trams schedule are available in android marketplace.

Most of HK people can speak english... better than malaysian.

I recommended to stay at Tsim Sha Tsui for muslim.

HK tourism board have a list of Halal restaurants... nearly 30.

Halal food restaurant is operated by someone who can speak english... oh.. even can speak malay in one of the restaurant..

TIPS: just speak Malay while there... you might meet someone who understand malay... biggrin.gif

When I was at there, HKD250 for 5 person is the minimum...

Hi all, may I know how u all make phone calls to the local HK people in HK?
Using roaming services? Or some other methods, like buying a new prepaid card or wat? Need some advise...
Thanks for sharing...
*
Some shopping center provide free phone, call to house phone is free at HK. Calling house phone from hotel also free.

there is a lots of public phone around.

if just want to sent a few sms (not call), just buy prepaid card in malaysia, like digi or tunetalk.. prepaid roaming no need to register.

Actually, based on a ship shape "V" or hydro-foil "W" pattern, the smallest movement will be at the lowest deck.
A comparison is to look at a metronome, which has a needle swaying left and right, the same movement in a ship (viewed from front) in turbulent water. The higher up the needle, the more distance it move, even though at the same angle.

Also, try sit in the middle of the ship (centre of gravity). Not the windows side.
*
if go down further.... lesser.... sit beside the engine.... laugh.gif

*
from TST just walk to Ashley road and cross Kowloon Park Drive using subway in front of Esprit shop. Enjoy some show inside the subway (if you lucky).

Very hard to get lost at Hong Kong... trust me... the signboard and road sign in TST only already more than what you can find in whole KL. thumbup.gif
