Fancy means fine dine?

Not looking into fine dine in HK la. Fine dine can do in KL no problem.
Local food there shouldn't cost that much right?
*
u juz assume each meal in hk , is juz like u eating at Wong Kok cha chan teng .... about RM15 each set....

im comfortable on the meal cost as its about the same in KL.... each meal is about RM10-15 in some KL area, in restaurant of coz...smile.gif ..unless it cost HKD 50-100....

Both hv package for 7days for data using.
Advantage of one2free is 5gb data,
Disadvantage is no wifi.
Advantage of pccw is unlimited wifi usage,
Diaadvantage is only 1gb data.

If u use for call only then both work fine...
*
5gb is quite a lot for 7days usage imo..

btw, planning to bring along iPad...will it causes any inconvenience to go into Disneyland or Macau Casino ? or i need to put my iPad inside macau hotel ?

Hmmm just booked my hotel in central hong kong smile.gif Now air ticket confirm and hotel is confirmed. I will be staying 8 days 7 nights in the same hotel i guess if i go to macau also i will go at morning come back at late night since i found out hong kong macau ferry is operate 24 hours.

My hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Peak Tram Station and a 5 minute drive from Macau Ferry Terminal. Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center is a 10 minute drive away so worst case i take cab from Hong Kong also won't be that expensive right?
*
stay at lisboa hotel la... about RM300+ / night , free minibar in room.... since u spend RM150+ for ferry d , stay 1 day better...LOL

My encounter with them are not good. Only in dim sum areas those grandpa and grandma is friendly and will chat with you.

Those young teens/young working adult is seriously  doh.gif

Scenario:
1. Was holding the handrail in MRT, suddenly a girl behind speak loudly asking me not to touch her, I was like  unsure.gif I didn't even touch her though I must admit I may be swaying a bit as the MRT was fast and I don't really have firm grip. I didn't even noticed her and I was with my gf the whole time. So I speak back politely saying I'm sorry though I don't think I touched you (in Cantonese) then she replied I did and the bf beside her also supported her  shakehead.gif

2. Was sitting in MRT and notice a bunch of teens talk. As they were quite loud (and nothing to do) so I eavesdrop their conversation and looking at their direction. A teen girl is showing off her Converse sneakers with lots of bling hence I took a glance (quite into converse too). I think she thought I'm tourist and don't understand cantonese, so she said see my sneakers so nice even that guy is also looking at mine (in Cantonese again)
*
maybe she was molest victim ? LOL...

it's true that HK people is not that friendly, some are rude, some are not, especially waiter serving you, you can try go to Australia Dairy Farm and Lin Heung Tea House, they will place the servings very hard, you might get a shock tongue.gif
*
they are quite stressful .... smile.gif ...

Don't get me started with ADC, very terrible service. I already expected it somehow from the comment but didn't expect to be worse.

Before going in, already select the meal (A,B or C) so they reduce selection time. Then the food came 1st without the drink.

So we ate the food 1st, ate halfway still no drinks serve. So inform the waiter, look at me one kind and ask me what I order (Milk tea).

The drinks came, I finish my plate of food, hence he wanted to take the plate, but the utensils are still on top. We thought he'll take the whole thing, but he ask us to hold on to the utensils (though I know cantonese but it was loud in the restaurant and he speak too fast). Just like a 2 seconds delay he already complain in cantonese (again they thought I don't understand) to his colleague saying "Aiya, they so slow and don't understand one la"

Wah, I was pretty upset about that. My gf ate quite slow so I ended up helping her to finish. Again, they thought we are slow  shakehead.gif

Anyway not a fan of the restaurant, tried once is enough for me. Not really a fan of scrambled egg, though I must say it's texture is good but too much of it (considering I ate like half of my gf one) is damn jelak. The macaroni with ham strips also so so, quite blend in taste. Heard from friend the "dan nai" was good though never tried as I myself ate like 1.5 portion of the set A (i think) as my gf is light eater

don't worry so much Clareen...

HK is a much safer place then KL, in fact i travel to HK twice every year but i only go during winter time due to the nice windy weather.

if you have local friend to take you around then it will be great, every road sign is dual language so no worries.

worse case, just buy the unlimited data pack from one2free and use GPS to find your location that you want to travel.

just remmeber to bring extra cash, the food is so good, you will probably eat like 6 - 7 meal per day
*
luckily i budget about 600HKD for meal + snack food ...LOL.... not sure if too much...

btw, groupon hk selling macau pork burger 50HKD for 25HKD... bought 4 to use at yau ma tei branch.... grab it while stock last

during my last trip, i brought around 8K HKD.

600 HKD per day seem okay but depend on what you eat.

is always better to bring extra rather then less
*
no fine dining in hk for sure ...

probably order more dishes for some of the day....

roadside snack food , stall etc only....

around 12k hkd for 2ppl....

Thanks
*
the food price = wongkok char chan teng price ....about RM12+ for each set ....HKD25-40 ... so everyday u need about RM50 for meal itself....

its not expensive imo la....should be sufficient for 6days 5night ....do a budget and see icon_rolleyes.gif
