QUOTE(y_owez @ Oct 30 2012, 09:12 AM)
thanks for taking the time guys~
my friend also mentioned mongkok is great for food ( anything special that i MUST try? )

budget - hmm cause im not sure what is the price range there.. 4 stars around how much? would prefer a location that is near to everything

Macau - most probably will stay 1 night.....
we are keen on drinks on foods, so please recommend! price is not a matter ? just want to enjoy good food.
as far as i know LKF is very happening, but we are going weekdays and one friend aint the clubbing type,

any particular place there that can still enjoy the vibe but in a low key ?
ocean park or disneyland? it's been a dream to go disneyland of course but dont get ocean park other places right?
THANKS AGAIN! notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif
*
no particular, the whole stretch of escalators (and intersection) is full of restaurant, western, jap, french etc
wat u wan... u name it, they got it thumbup.gif
---
in mongkok, at intersection of Fa Yuen and Dundas Street... go to 肥姐小食店 Fei Jie Snacks Shop.
its every easy to spot, as a lot of ppl are queuing for the snack.
ask for the octopus~ drool.gif
---
between ocean park and disneyland, i will choose disney... more fun~
all of the themes are located next to each other, less walking...
and many programs too... all lining up for u, some serve every 15min
note: @disneyland a lot of adult playing their games, so no worry~
---
choose ocean park, if u like PANDA!!! Dolphin!!! and ZOO (underwater) wub.gif
their Extreme park park is better than Disney and more suitable for adult.
mind u, a lot of walking~ uphill downhill circling left right and got lost rclxub.gif
---
Macau... 3stars & below is around HKD500 (RM200) for double bed and locate near Ruins of St. Paul's

which hotel can see the harbour view? is that what they call it? to see the night ligths? i mean which area is that?
*
I think if u like harbour view, its better go to
1) Arena of Star, @Tsim Sa Tsui 7:30pm
2) The Peak, Lion Pavilion Lookout on Findley Road. 6:30pm
3) The Peak, Sky Terrace 428 7:30pm
Both place offer Symphony of Light, started on 8pm.
Mind u, the peak is really far for the symphony, not the best place but the aerial view is just magnificent.

Ah i see ..would love to try their char chan teng. any in particular besides Australia Dairy?
will take note of that! we are foodies so awesome! give me more recommendations kay..
everyone been saying the peak..but what is the peak? just to see the night view or?

sky terrace? is it the one with a great sky bar ppl said about? or totally wrong place here.
we arrive sunday noon-evening  , leaving friday morning,

we decided 1 night in macau,

sunday night - what can we do? not too tiring i guess
monday - shopping? recommendation?
tuesday - disneyland / kowloon ( whats special there?? )
wednesday -mongkok + lan kwai fong
thursday - shopping + intersection escalator?

friday - departing bout 8 am

hmm.gif what do you guys think about that itineray? we love casual drinks ( bars/lounge ), food! and shopping too.
*
1) Peak - Hiking Trails, Sunset, Hong Kong Night View (Can view the other side of Symphony of Light)

2) @Peak hv 2 building complex just across the road called Sky Terrace & Peak Galleria.
Sky Terrace - Tram Station & buy souvenir here, better than rip off Ladies Street.
Sky Terrace - Madame Tussaud Wax House, 2 floors... Bruce Lee is FOC smile.gif
Sky Terrace - Restaurant, some of it is facing harbor... best place for candle light dinner. blush.gif
Sky Terrace 428 - Need ticket! Roof top where u can view Hong Kong at highest place. (8pm!)
Peak Galleria - Shopping Complex, Playground, Dam Lookout Point.

3) I assume u will be arriving at Macau and depart at Hong Kong Airport.
@Macau - City of Dream show (12pm-8pm) MOP50, River Canal at the Venetian Macau, Macau Tower, Ruins of St. Paul's. [Casino provide Free Mineral's Water and Shutter Bus. U can travel from Macau to Taipa or almost all other casino for free]. For 3persons better use taxi, its cheap coz Macau is small hehe
@Hong Kong - Ferry to Hong Kong/Kowloon? Where u stay? dont take wrong ferry~
For shopping and others, please read HK Guide, look for Shopping Malls and Eat.

4) Mongkok is where are all phone/toy street, ladies street, shoe street & temple street located.

5) Lan Kwai Fong and SOHO @Centra-Mid Levels Escalator is actually few block away. U can goto SOHO then LKF. Ohh hopefully u prepare at least HKD500/pax for your dinner here icon_rolleyes.gif

whistling.gif i doubt u able to visit all the place... since u r going to macau too.
my advise choose wat u like more, skip the rest sweat.gif
[best to buy a good shoe, u goin to walk alot]

Now in HK.
I bought Ngong Ping 360 HKD 139 from Ding Ding.
Asked for Crystal 2ways but she only give me 1way.
For this price, am i cheated?
*
Just to update...
DingDing will give 1Crystal + 1Normal Voucher, once you reach NP360 to exchange the voucher to ticket.
they will give u a special wrist band for crystal ride.
It is a 2ways crystal ride smile.gif

Highly recommend to take crystal, you can reduce the queuing time a-lot...
But the scenery is nothing special, just sea, hill and some hiking trails at the bottom.

probably swap with tuesday? the disneyland?

where is a good yum cha? and char chan teng? i mean near which place/day i can fit them it?
*
i think it is better to move Monday to Thursday...
tat mean u hv to do Disney first smile.gif and NP360 on last day.

and if u wan, u still can get drunk on Wednesday and still make it to NP360 the next day...
fyi, NP360 is really small and simple, u probably need 2hours max to visit all.

the other advantage is Wifey Biscuit will still be fresh when u touchdown KL... drool.gif

cha chan teng, hemm... there r too many... just like mamak stall in MY, just choose one
if u r picky, u can head to the infamous Kam Wah Cafe Polo Bun, Prince Edward, Mongkok 3pm
>> note: i didnt try this cafe, so no comment... btw they said Dan Nai is better in HK than Macau, i didnt try tat either

QUOTE(ilineZ @ Nov 20 2012, 02:05 AM)
-- i might not suppose to ask this question here,
but since im in HK now, i think its quite appropiate to ask here rather than gadget forum..

i surveying galaxy note 2,coz i heard hk sell electronic things cheaper.
along jordan rd i found a shop sell for 4200-4900hkd
but along sai yeung choi all shop sell at 5698hkd

my question
-is that good price (4200hkd-4900hkd) is really good deal?- means, do i need to beware of SCAM in hk electronic shops juz because they selling below market price?
-most of them say that the guarante is one year Samsung hk/china (i tought samsung implement international waranty?)
-do you hv any particular shop that u recomend to buy such gadget?
-any other stuff that worth to buy all the way from HK- since it offer really good price?
*
1) I know someone bought note1 in china, ended up... high quality fake.
2) No international warranty for phone/camera (unless u wan grey unit).
3) If buy from official samsung's hk, the price will be the same in msia after conversion.
4) The oni advantage, u get 32G+LTE options (LTE phone make sure is 2600MHz + 1800MHz).
5) Learn how to read android's setting/about page. Dont get con for 16Gb/32Gb confusion.
---
if u dont mind no warranty, 32Gb + LTE is a good choice
and worst thing happen... just pay for the repair fee
---
if u dont wan LTE, msia 16Gb selling rm1799 (2years warranty)... and 32Gb oso
(im not HP seller, PM me if u wan to know which shop selling cheap2)

after booking the hotel room from agoda, booking.com or etc,

double confirm wif the hotel first (1 week ahead before ur trip) to make sure ur room is reserved 4 u

never like agoda, they have hidden charge...
this year i book a service apartment (2Melaka) via them,
agoda written the price rm450, after made the payment... final price shown rm500
DAFAQ!!! RM50 EXTRA!!! I will never book from them again

i confirm it with the owner, even the owner recommend others... such as booking.com

where gt hidden charge?? u need to read carefully. usually all rates are exclusive of hotel tax and service fees. others oso the same unless the rate stated inclusive of tax n etc..

i had use agoda, booking.com n hotel own reservation. quite reliable. so far didn't encounter any probs n transaction go smooth. price no differs from the price quote..

payment for agoda n booking.com is different

agoda u need to pay the whole amt using on9 transaction.

booking.com is only reserve the room (they will lock the specific amt on ur cc) thn u only made payment once u reach the hotel.. means the rate of room might differs due to currency exchange on the specific time during ur travel period
*
the problem is... i do not know what is the hidden charges... they never specified it
they shown the price 450, then I proceed entering my cc#, click complete
boom... thank you for 500 payment bla bla bla... doh.gif

this is my situation la, and at the time i tot mayb i need to pay for the international exchange rate coz they r thai company... i just accept lo... never really occur to my to investigate further...
ofcoz i m not happy coz the hotel is in msia... why there is international rate different when im using msia cc#.
due to various reason and i need the hotel during CNY, i didnt care much at the time.
just noted to myself, never book from them again...

hemm. shakehead.gif
u cant do it this way... if u going to overnight @macau, it will be very hard to squeeze Disney in on the next day.
remember u need to check in immigration too (sometime very long queue) and u need time to check in hotel (normally noon) before u can head to Disney sad.gif

my previous recommendation cant fit into your literary? rclxub.gif

btw if u fren arriving early, they can head to Ding2 for the tix first... and mayb Langham Place if got time

one think i dont understand, why u all paid hundreds of dollars for the entrance fee (disney/op) and didnt wan to utilized the days? there are alot of event/game/show prepared, enuf to occupied u whole day...
