It surprise me, when I was in Mongkok about a month ago, Ladies Street, suddenly a girl (definitely tourist) shout out in Cantonese, her wallet is stolen from the backpack behind her. The zip was open.
She was with her partner, and she sounds more like Malaysian.

Anyway, the lesson is, if you carry anything valuables, anywhere in the world, carry it in front of your chest, rather than at the back.
*
Or leave the valuable things in the hotel safe box and only carry necessary things. Unless hotel room don't have safe box then no choice have to carry as mentioned by cute_boboi smile.gif

My main attractions over there mostly are

1. Hong Kong Disneyland
2. Giant Buddha
3. The Peak
4. Ocean Park

Eating and Shopping and those I can think of a way to slot in between travelling time or any other free time lol.

What do you guys think?
*
The only attractions you might spend full day is 1st and 4th.
I finished my 2nd attraction in the afternoon. 3rd best to go at night.

You can shop @ Citygate after Giant Buddha tour smile.gif

Yea, I know about the Peak, but never been there during night time, Only bus can reach there right? Is there any bus during night time? I'll go early for that Madame Tussauds and stay till late maybe around 8/9pm only head home.

Giant Buddha and Citygate gonna make a full day then,
Disneyland 1 day
Ocean Park 1 day

That's 3 days out of 4 days I have, Not to fill in the activities before going to The Peak.

Or probably I can do both Peak and Ocean Park in 1 day since it's quite nearby. Then one last day to do shopping and walking around Mongkok areas
*
I took tram to reach The Peak. Can enjoy the Hong Kong scene while on the way up.

The only actual event that really attracted me in Ocean Park is the Symphony of Light smile.gif

has anyone been to Disneyland Hong Kong? is it worth it? some of my friends have bad comments about the place. i've been to Disneyland Paris. so i'm wondering whether it will worth my trip to head to Disneyland Hong Kong. plus if i'm heading there i would probably have to allocate one whole day for that. no?
*
First timer like myself will go to the Disneyland HK. If you've been to other country Disneyland, you probably find this slightly smaller.

However, Disneyland HK is building Grizzly Gulch and it's opening in July 14 smile.gif

Can see more pics in my blog smile.gif

QUOTE(PhakFuhZai @ Jan 1 2013, 10:32 PM)
I will be going to HK in April

need some advise from sifu on budgeting and stuffs

1st- hotel/hostel budget, at RM200 per night is it decent enough, for single room
2nd- public transport (MTR, taxi, ferry to Macau) how much roughly is needed per day?
3rd- food.. RM60 per day is it enough? just jalan2 cari makan

HK stuffs are expensive, however as 2.5 HKD is equivalent to RM1, overall do we still feel the expensiveness after the conversion to ringgit?

thanks smile.gif
*
MTR you can opt for tourist pass which is much cheaper if you travel a lot in HK. Most of the noodle cost around 25-32HKD per bowl smile.gif
