QUOTE(iSpace @ Mar 17 2012, 12:23 AM)
Rather buy inspira.
My fren just told me p3 will not be selling in some countries due tO its quality problem.

NO offense. If u want problem free car better dont get p3 because my fren is one of proton's senior staff and he told me they found out inspira is muchmuch more better than p3.. Maybe is because of our proton still lack of knowledge to build a own design car.
*
problem free car
ya right...where are u going to buy one when merc and BMW also have problem
ferrari and lambo can just catch fire in the middle of the road(no one seem to bash, if happen to proton surely 1st page newspaper 2molo)
problem free car never existed
and "not selling in some countries due to its quality problem" will not happen
as long as they have dealer there, they can sell it....its just a matter of the customer want to buy or not only

QUOTE(sp3d2 @ Mar 17 2012, 01:29 AM)
guys. i am a complete noob about car service cost. this model probably will be my first car sweat.gif  i assume i'll be moving around 10000 km per year.

let say i reserve rm 1200/year for service cost of the premium cfe model. do you think it is enough? need your input.  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif
*
more than enough
proton service not so expensive one like T and H
RM200 can do 1 minor service already...major service needs double that
more details can refer to exora bold's service since same engine and GB
but not sure those new gadget/accessories needed service or not though
but its more than enough

thanks. maybe more than 10K km. i can't predict now.  i only hope the maintenance cost of the turbo is not too expensive. never own any car before, not even a turbo car  sweat.gif
*
the turbo i dn;t think need maintain since its water cooled..but am not sure

Should be enough. Maintenance of the CFE engine should not differ much from the standard CPS/IAFM. I currently clock over 80K in my Persona IAFM.

time for major major service

ok one last noob question this morning.  tongue.gif  tongue.gif  tongue.gif

normally tires how often do you change? every how much kilometers and what is the cost?  icon_question.gif
*
how often = how often u travel
but even if u dn't travel much..and still got thread...better to change every 3 years
cuz that time your tyre rubber harden already
cost?...depends on how big and how good the tyres u want

QUOTE(sp3d2 @ Mar 17 2012, 04:05 PM)
ok. executive preve got 150 nm of torque at 4000 rpm. with weight of 1325 kg. the torque over weight ratio is 0.113 at 4000 rpm

ill make comparison with persona highline. it have 150 nm of torque at 4000 rpm. with weight of 1245 kg. the torque over weight ratio is 0.119 at 4000 rpm

that means persona highline acceleration is better than the new executive preve.  this is the not so good part over weight addition of preve. the cvt transmission does not help much except in better fuel consumption.

the executive preve would be much slower than persona highline. correct me if im wrong.
*
but the CVT will solve the underpower of it, smoother pick up and better FC compared to the 4AT
you'll know that if u own a saga
frm the underpower, bad FC 4AT...they just simply change to CVT and everything change...underpower doesn't exist and FC directly comparable to myvi
for real...need to test drive it only know

QUOTE(Kampung2005 @ Mar 17 2012, 06:18 PM)
Saw the P3-21A............in a box.

In real life, the car does like sharp, especially the headlight and also the side crease.

If I want to get this car, it would be solid white.
*
just book 1 already...the premium model
if u choose white thn u better be prepared to wax it every week

QUOTE(Kampung2005 @ Mar 17 2012, 06:30 PM)
Most people who I ask during the exhibition, think that the car spec is good on paper, but of course..the past is indeed, the baggage (obstacle) in getting in this car.

That said, about colour, solid white is the best, namely it highlights the side crease clearly.

When I asked to the staffs who manned this car.....these are following stuffs that I get...

There are several foreign components on this car.

For example, the steel for this car, is sourced from POSCO (Korea), only stamped in Malaysia. ESC system is from Bosch, transmission is from Punch, suspension from Kayaba (Japan), speedometer from VDO (or Continental?) Germany.

Tempted to get one, but I shall wait until 2013 and see how it goes.
*
the suspension has always came from KYB...proton stockist always sell it
proton's part all come from all over the world...ppl think most part are from MY but they're not
like the saga BLM...there are part from turkey, ukraine, japan...etc etc
but not sure whats the part though

So no need for security tint?
*
stock or ori tint will never be as good as the ones u install outside
cuz their have to be perfectly legal
the ones we install outside doesnt seem to be legal....close to legal is more like it

how u know?
*
in D..its just normal auto(CVT)
in order to use the paddle shifter..most car u will need to shift to "S"
i dn't know much abt this car
but usually that "mode" is at the lowest/last shift of the GB
which mean P>R>D>S

QUOTE(dares @ Mar 18 2012, 02:39 PM)
Serious?

You can find plenty of horror stories about T&H SCs who treat their customers like idiots. Worse, those customer's paid more money to be treated like idiots.

How did you think Honda City IDSI's CVT got such as bad rap? ever heard of the Honda owner who paste sticker on his Accord "My honda tak guna" and park in front of the SC? Oh and that thread where the Honda Hybrid battery kong and Honda tried to lie their way out of a warranty claim? Oh let's not forget the legendary cockroach urine in the ECU by Toyota UMW. Then there's a Naza Sutera owner whose engine kong a few days (or weeks?) after getting the car, and got treated like shit by Naza SC. My Cousin's BMW rear brake lamp kong they try to get out of warranty claim and ask RM8k from him (Among other problems, he swore never to buy a BMW again. Who does that?). Need I give more examples?

And despite Proton's problem your family bought so many Proton cars so that you can come here and complain? go buy Perodua lah. U think only Proton SC got problem? fine la I pay 50k for a baseline car, I complain you if you treat me like shit. I pay RM 500k and is still treated like shit what are you gonna say? throw money in his face ah?

Please go and worship your Vios J with scratched dashboard somewhere else.

CVT, rear brake, hybrid battery...all can be seen
