Just started my mp. Wow ... dont know its that fun ... just that im noob.
Is Jumbo Equip Pack good ? Or i should spam recruit pack, or save for veteran n spectre pack ?
Starting off go for the Recruit Packs to build up stock of medigel, rockets and survival packs. They will also give you the basic weapon upgrades and weapon attachments which you need to improve your survival in the game and also your enjoyment of the multiplayer experience.
After that, Spectre packs are the way to go methinks, because of a guaranteed GOLD item. Jumbo Packs are to stock up on medigel, rockets and other consumables which you don't need alot to start off with because you will be playing Bronze mainly.
I think by then you will have built a preference on what classes you like to play and what weapons you normally use. I generally only use 3 weapons (Carnifex or Predator; Widow or Mantis; and Geth Plasma Shotgun).
So good luck with your MP experience and to list out what I think will help that experience :
1. Doesn't matter who scores the most each round, because the points you earn is the total of everybody's score and not only your individual score. So no worries if you don't get too many kills or assist, important thing is the entire team survives wave 11 and you do your part.
2. I find medigel to be the rarest of all the consumable equipment, so don't burn them too early when you go down, wait for a team mate to revive you which is not too difficult if you stick together and also if the wave is ending and your team is in a comfortable position for you to auto revive at the end of the wave
3. Depending on your PS3 setup, use a headset (basic blutooth or USB wired good enough)
- Helps with coordination especially on SILVER/GOLD i.e. good to warn your team mates that a pair of Phantoms are creeping up on them while they are concentrating on taking out that ATLAS
- Helps you learn from other players as you share your experiences with MP
- Lastly, if your PS3 is setup in a common area in your house, it helps channel any foul language to a more private channel instead of coming out of your TV
