What kind of interest can I get for Proton X50?
Clean CCRIS, recently got housing loan approved at 2.9%, stable employment.
I am thinking 7 or 9 yrs.
Thanks!

2.24%, 9 yrs, 84.5k from Affin Bank Bhd for Proton X50 Executive variant.
Is this a good deal? I got for the same loan amount/period/car, 2.32% from KFH and 2.33% from CIMB Bank. This post has been edited by contestchris: Mar 20 2021, 02:13 AM |

QUOTE(rogeRRabit @ May 28 2022, 04:27 PM) New Car I believe OPR went up in early May 2022 so car loan rates would be up around 0.10% - 0.15% across the board. Correct me if I'm wrong guys.RM 150K 7yrs 2.35% 9yrs 2.45% RM 200K 7yrs 2.31% 9yrs 2.44% PBB SOunds like quite high comparing to what you guys get (2.1~2.2%) And normally do you guys let the car SA to survey the loan or DIY n walk in to bank ya? QUOTE(honkit @ Jul 29 2022, 09:06 PM) I was told that my application that I’ll be charge rm600 handling fee. Waiving it subject to SA of the dealer. Got such thing ? Yes it's paid by SA. If not don't take it. Either banker doesn't know shit about what they're talking or something is amiss.Thought these handling fee are paid to SA by the banks according to bank negara. Any thoughts? |

Guys I'm pretty sure if you actually signed the doc (with validity of 3 months from date of offer), the banks can't change the rate.
Unless: 1) You DID NOT sign the doc 2) It's been > 3 months from the date of the OFFER Correct me if I am wrong please. EDIT: Sorry I look back at my documents for my loan from Affin Bank. The validity is ONE MONTH from the date the offer letter is issued. I incorrectly stated it is 3 months above. 3 months is usually the time frame the loan to be auto extended, but the bank CAN change the terms if needed, including raising rates.
