QUOTE(asunakirito @ Dec 27 2012, 11:33 PM)
if the discounted item price can eat the cost of shipping and waiting and beats lowyat price, go for it.

otherwise, buy locally smile.gif

should newegg reduce their shipping cost for kg items , they will get more customers, unfortunately, they aren't able to, seems they aren't really official newegg but more like lowyat middleman who does U.S online transaction for us similar to Amazon.  tongue.gif

If the Real newegg company establishes here with their warehouse and provide free shipping will definitely owned all lowyat shops including the online garage shops here. period.  laugh.gif

lol i doubt they can get their prices cheaper than lowyat but the prospect of online shopping at prices comparable to lowyat plus free shipping and good warranty service would definitely pose problem tu dealers in GS heehhe! who wants to bet when or if they ever going to have local warehouse? tongue.gif

If they have physical shop in Malaysia and they sell hardware with the same price as they sell in US, Low Yat Plaza is in big trouble.

they operate via their facebook page only. u get a quote from them through there and u basically buy it from the newegg US site but through them. if u just do currency exchange of item its quite cheap but postage is costly from US. but sometimes u can still get better deals, hoewever claiming warranty and stuff like that is a hassle though anyone wanna share their experience on that?

Just to share my experience:
1. asked for quotation for the same item but from newegg US and newegg business thru their Contact Us form
2. quotation returned is the price(inclusive of promotion price) multiplied by the exchange rate, and additional 8.75% tax on purchases thru neweggUS and no tax charged on purchases thru neweggBusiness, then the shipping and handling charges
3. confirm purchase thru CPP form

but anyhow, to confirm the correct price in MYR, the best is to ask newegg malaysia for a quotation . they are very quick and very dedicated to answer all your enquiries.

I bought a few unit from Newegg and some item are honestly way cheaper.

Certain stuff like HDD have warranty applies here. Even all notebook sold in Newegg are way way cheaper. That includes shipping fees to your doorstep.

What's best? The notebooks are ALL international warranty. Try compare MSI GT70 gaming notebook. You get better specs on Newegg and cheaper compare selling locally.

Further more, EVGA cards are really good. I have bought a few unit helping my friend, and in case of RMA...they're doing it as fast as they can. It took me 2 weeks to get a card replacement. Judging by the time they ship out, reach US and claim the unit. All done in 2 weeks, pretty fast in my opinion.

I can say, I'm quite a loyal customer of Newegg biggrin.gif

Some items are cheaper, some price is the same as Malaysia

There is sales tax on certain items, last time I ask them quote Corsair H60

USD to Ringgit + Sales Tax + Shipping = same price from buying locally

NeweggUS -->http://www.newegg.com/ (price quoted include tax)
NeweggBusiness -->http://www.neweggbusiness.com/ (price quoted w/o tax)

but the shipping fee is based on per item. last time i tried to get quote for 4 SATA cables, each with RM1x shipping shocking.gif total up which costs MUCH more than local sweat.gif sweat.gif
