rio and lampard are proud footballers not mercenaries they won't go purely for the money to some mickey mouse league where the stadium is similar in size to Kelana Jaya stadium  tongue.gif
*
i think the main stumbling block for rio for china will be the strict internet rule they have!!!he cant tweet as freely in england ahahah.nnt pak polis come knock his door. rclxms.gif

side note:nah i dont think rio is finished, he still has years in him and not to mention a job tutoring the kids at carrington.

Torpedo moscow anyone?

SAF also adapts to the changes in the game. The game evolves, he also evolves. That's what makes SAF such a great manager.
Football today is different from football in the 90's.

i'm not an MU supporter but I have to admit SAF is the best manager in this last few decade. even better than mourinho, IMO.

Added on March 20, 2012, 1:16 pmanyway since there's no wolves thread around, I'm going to rant here:

PADAN MUKA wolves for sacking Mick McCarthy. he's the one who brought wolves to BPL, and after few bad runs, he kene sacked. he doesn't deserve that. now wolves are sitting at the bottom of the ocean... take that wolves' owner/chairman etc etc

Wolves supporter are great. I think the owner should not sack Mick McCarthy without proper plan in the first place. He planned to bring Alan Alan Curbishley or Steve Bruce but unfortunately couldn't get the deal done. Then decided to hired the assistant as last resort, Terry Connor which has no experience in managing, and in this dire situation which need experience personnel as the chief. That's difference between tunnel vision owner and legit owner who cares about the club.

Anyway, Wolves supporter are one of the most humble, sporting, loyal in EPL. The banter / chants between them and MUFC supporter at Molineux was priceless. Most of them accept their fate and the fact that they're serious relegation candidate, and look forward for rebuilding phase next season, whether they will be compete in EPL or Championship. I hope they can avoid relegation.

an Arsenal fan knows a lot better about these players than a United fan does(above), is just LOL. tq for your comment, you are definitely right. both of them are injury plagued and IMO, defenders are not EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD in their 'tender' years, they'll need experience and opportunities to play even if they are super talented.

actually i'm more interested on fabio instead of rafael after i watch a youtube video of him playing for the reserve team, dribbling from defense to forward and scored a goal. would love to see him do it again in BPL but sadly he's always out. plus, Evra hardly get injured as well. his opportunity was really limited.

like boxy said, Fabio was the more touted twins during their youth days, but injuries and Evra had really limited his first team appearance, but i can see the scenario changing next season as Evra is on the decline atm, fingers cross that he remains healthy, that's the first priority

Yup, I'm anticipating great things from Fabio as well. He was the captain for Brazil U-17 if i'm not mistaken. He is touted as one of the best young attacking fullbacks.

im just not happy the way we went out in europe this season.. SO TAME!!! be it experience or not..i would say good job if they give 110%.. but thats not from what i see in europe... anyway ive not been watching man utd forever.. only since like 2000, so its still a while. to be honest their 1-2 passing only happens when cleverly, welbeck, and probably a few more youngster are playing.. rest of them still playing the old style to me.. i think they're trying to copy barca way but they're losing the ball far too often when they try it.. only time they did it well was the first 5 games or so of the season.. after cleverly went out injured.. everything back to normal again

we didn't.we've played counter attack even when we got both Ronaldo and Tevez.

while the lineup, the tactics, the formation differs, the philosophy remains. we may employed more passes, but the end product is the same;to hit the opponent on the break

at least, that's how i see it

another great thing with Valencia, he often back with a bang even after long lay off.. like a machine.

IIRC last season, he made comeback after 5 months (?) and played 45 min against Arsenal, he played very well..

early this season, he's done OK on comeback considering he's played as RB most of that period..

and the last weekend, definitely my MOTM though Rooney got official MOTM.

IMHO, he's limited but he using that limited ability very well and maximize the devastating effects..

I wouldn't say he has limited ability. He's a right winger who can play right back and he played central midfield for his country too. How is that limited? I think a better way to describe Valencia is that he is a very efficient player. He plays exactly like an old fashioned winger and that works great for Man Utd, a club with a solid reputation for great wingers. He keeps to the basics of beating his defender whether through a quick change of speed or excellent acceleration or even a spin/trick or 2. Once he beats his defender, he'll quickly cross the ball or find a hole in defense and bring the ball closer to the goal line before putting in a pin-point cross. He's definitely no Nani or Ronaldo where they focus a lot of trickery and cutting in for pot shots at goal. Valencia is an out and out winger who prides himself at pin point crosses to allow his teammates to score. If only Van Nilsterooy was still around, Valencia would be his best friend.

Most of United supporters (at least those who voted in ManUtd.com) and fellow here shares similar view. He's completely outstanding.

QUOTE
Man of the Match vs Wolves (ManUtd.com Readers)
1 - Antonio Valencia (74%)
2 - Javier Hernandez (13%)
3 - Wayne Rooney (6%)
cmiiw, he played with mostly that 'one dimensional run' before this season and he already did a wonder and made it to PFA Premier League Team of the Year, this season he's been having more on his game, those catastrophic effects are expected outcome from him. While Nani and Young hasn't been consistent and injury-free, presence of Valencia will help a lot to live up our title expectation.

As a winger, he does the basic stuff really well. He doesn't need to do all the trickery and fancy stuffs, while looking so serious and maintain that lol frown face

He also has an outstanding work rate and a great attitude, ditching his agent coz he wants to stay at the club.
Dave Whelan (Wigan owner): "If every footballer was like Antonio, life would be wonderful. He is a quiet, clean-living, well-mannered young gentleman".

His stats so far this season speak for themselves:
