Come on, lets not blame the drunk ref nor the blind linesman. The boys only have themself to blame.

QUOTE(alowie @ Mar 9 2012, 06:19 AM) we rode our lack against Norwich and Spurs SAF admitted that. DDG saved us, good defending didn't allow that much of threats to the goal, especially if it came easily like tonight. some chose to only admiring the GK but I choose to question the team's performance why they allowed those. tidak menjawab persoalan...malah lari topic.il leave it at that.agree, we just can't play right with 4 wings in the field. So far Evans and Smalling partnership is convincing beside Evans-Ferdinand, if we put aside Vidic. |

QUOTE(yfchin2 @ Mar 9 2012, 06:10 AM) other than evans and smalling(who left the field due to injury), i dont see anyone doing a good job in defending today...the only mistake from rafael is a disaster..u dont need me to tell you how bad our left side was today..phil jones basically didnt do well in either midfield or defender position...yes i agree that midfield lost their way today but the defense arent doing their job also... yep, very weak defending. countless of time ball dispossessed from us. we let them do what they want.i still have hope on turning the game..a 2-0 will do us good in spain..and with the good away form we have this season, i hope the lads can make it.. that Iker Munain was superb. should have tackle him hard, mess with his confidence lil bit. but our players worried their shirts dirty later. me too bro, think we can get it done there. QUOTE(mhyug @ Mar 9 2012, 06:24 AM) lol you highlighted my point 'we rode our luck' then I responded. you highlighted my point 'DDG saved our ass' and asking 'what does a goal keepers duty for a football team?' do you want me to answer 'Goal keepers duty is to save the goal and made those saves from opponent scoring's effort'? I'll give that answer if you are 6-years old boy, sorry if you really are then I'll leave at that. Added on March 9, 2012, 6:39 am QUOTE(Tienhoven @ Mar 9 2012, 06:18 AM) I know it wasn't regular, but that is not a smart excuse judging by the performance from several games before. Midfield has low level of fluidity play hence the appearance of Rooney all over the map. Big yea it wasn't smart excuse, painful to watch recent games, midfield has been 'lost', I just wish to expect consistent line-up with our best player in their suited position there and can see the maximum potential of the team. then can justify whether it was a false hope or not. QUOTE cukup hebat, ptt sokong united pun lebat jugak kalah pengurus pasukan.tahniah and telah membuktikan apa yang dikatakan selama ini. sorry I don't understand Malay. QUOTE if thats the answer to a question thats what its expected, irrelevant of age I thought it was unnecessary answer that I need to give, instead I chose to elaborate more of my point that 'saved our ass' refer to DDG made lot of unnecessary saves that came because below-par team performance. If the team plays up to standard, those threats won't come.As far as I've followed manutd.com I see those views about our luck at Norwich and Tottenham and DDG's performance are views from people at the club also eh anyway, i'll leave at this, that's my imo, up to you if you don't want to accept it, just try to give answer in best possible manner, sorry if something's offending you This post has been edited by alowie: Mar 9 2012, 06:56 AM |

i believe technically when player's boot come off and interrupting the game, ref should give a drop ball, is it? WTF he gave a free kick? and the boot wasnt interrupting the game.
DDG played well. our defense are sloppy, esp Rafael on 3rd goal. our midfield are loose, became solid after Carrick came in. Hernandez's touched are lousy and poor, as always. Europa League are bless in disguise. we'll get spank by any decent teams in CL. valuable and bitter lessons for our youngsters. but i'll still hope we can progress. 2 goals win, or scoring 3 goals at Spain are gigantic task, but far from impossible.. |

Among all the goal concede.... the third one really speechless.... What is rafael waiting??? Don't tell me De Gea should shouted at him... but as a defender he has to be aware the surrounding....

its not really a confusion.
Fernando Torres (currently in CFC now), his old team is Atletico Madrid. Fernando Llorente Torres is currently in Athletic Bilbao |

QUOTE(alowie @ Mar 9 2012, 06:55 AM) hahah I'm malay and I couldn't make sense of that sentence you quoted re. the game, didn't watch. but from match reports and what happened previously: * utd can't handle aggressively pressing teams = barca, newcastle, bilbao * utd. struggle when carrick/scholes/giggs are marked or the opponent put more bodies in midfield; and on counter attacks there'd be no one to cover the back four or help Carrick * out of all the wingers only Valencia can properly help the fullbacks (and only on the right side) * out of all the strikers only Berbatov has excellent ball control, Welbeck is mobile but has poor control and finishing; Hernandez can finish but struggle with positioning and control; Rooney has good positioning and finishing -horrible control also, but can contribute defensively, and on form can pass well to bring others into play * defensively utd. likes to play a high line, which don't suit Ferdinand anymore; barring injuries the best back four should be Smalling, Evans, Vidic, Evra -this line up could dominate teh BPL for a few seasons All said, it's a testament to Fergie's ability to dominate the BPL that this team is still second in the league (great record vs the top 4/5 too this season!), but to succeed in Europe they'd need to keep the defensive unit injury free, get a replacement for Fletcher (or drill defensive sense into Cleverley and Anderson), and bring back Queiroz (or even AVB I still believe Utd at their current best (and defensive upgrade) can stand toe-to-toe with the likes of Bayern Munich, Juve and Milan but there's still Barca and Real to deal with (and great smaller teams like Napoli, Dortmund, Bilbao, Benfica, Porto)... |
