I hate that fact about smartphones these days. They get bigger and thinner. One day, the smartphone when press the screen also already break into half, like a Kit Kat bar  doh.gif

I use the normal Twitter application. That's the best for me.
*
Yea doh.gif only reason they doing this is just for bragging rights. I feel sgs2 too slim already, now got even slimmer phones, sure feel like gonna break in half anytime.

OK thanks for recommendation smile.gif

"Oh look I got the slimmest phone!" That's all pointless achievements. I honestly think that if they merged the Galaxy W's thickness and the Galaxy S2's size, it would be a masterpiece  biggrin.gif

Your welcome. I love Twitter too much, haha. Tried out so many applications, nothing beats the original application. The others seems so sloppy and too many buttons to click. Very confusing  rclxub.gif
*
Same, I see other twitter apps screenshots, looks pretty ugly. I just created twitter 5seconds ago so I not really sure about how it works rclxub.gif I know u can tweet n retweet, that's all

I think galaxy w thickness is perfect, not too thin not too fat biggrin.gif

That's true, therefore we're not so off topic eh? Haha

Btw, wanna ask. Why on Galaxy S2 got that Heptic Feedback thing (I don't really remember the spelling). The one that makes the phone vibrate when you click the Back or Menu button but on Galaxy W don't have? Anyone know how to make this feature on Galaxy W also got?  icon_question.gif
*
Not sure if applies to galaxy w or not, but go settings, sound and shud have a haptic feedback check box.

You should really hang out at the Galaxy W thread sometimes, I'm sure anyone with a Galaxy S2 is sufficient enough to help out with the Galaxy W too  biggrin.gif

Imagin that additional 1mm thick of SII battery increases 350mah. If they make the phone thicker for the battery, they can boost 12++ hours of battery usage for the phone (maybe even more, depends on the thickness)!!
*
Well Motorola managed to fit 3300mah batt on their Droid razor Maxx under 1cm, I don't see why Samsung can't do it too

Try removing all the scripts in init.d?
*
Didn't try that. But during my neak kernel time, I deleted all the init.d scripts, and flashed thunderbolt so only 3 scripts. Only then I flashed siyah

smartphones technology has advanced from being a single core to dual core now, rumors are also saying quad core is in the loop, HD screens, powerful GPU in the tiny 4 incher.

I think the only thing is lacking behind if u realize is the battery. Need improvement in technology
*
+2 manufacturers shud focus on battery, that's d most important aspect to me

Well said, but it's a difficult engineering feat to strike a balance between high charge capacity and bulkiness of the battery..

Instead of stuffing high capacity batteries, manufacturers shud try building more energy efficient chips, battery technology so far no big advancements. Also, Motorola proved that a 3300mah batt could be stuffed into a phone under 1cm thickness with the Droid Razr Maxx

QUOTE(ellimist @ Feb 13 2012, 08:50 PM)
+1 to Razr Maxx.

Honestly, the biggest problem is manufacturers are just focusing on bragging rights and putting things like battery at expense.

I mean, anything below 1cm is fine, come on. Then they go through extensive creative manufacturing gizmo just to make it 1-2mm thinner than the next for bragging rights? Ridiculous. And to top it off thinnest but has a thicker bump sweat.gif
Point in case is Razr Maxx, below 1cm but has bigger battery than Note.

But bragging rights is big big marketing gizmo, so guess saying "world thinnest phone" is alot cooler than saying "phone with substantially long lasting battery while still being <1cm"

imo S2 should at least have come with the 2k-mah by default, and even larger one if they could fit one by all means. That thinness + bump not worthwhile for sacrificing batt life

Sighness.
*
Its really funny how Samsung advertise sgs2 as world thinnest phone when it has a hump that makes it thicker doh.gif I just wish they would stop with this marketing and give users a better product instead of changing this n that for marketing purposes. But seriously, sacrificing battery just for extra few mm of thinness? That's really stupid, as besanth said, galaxy w thickness is perfect

Samsung is very femes for standing monolithic tall among the phone giants by having a strong point which is thinness.. of course the sides they make it thicker, but nevertheless, people tend of forget it as the marketing tool which they use is dual core lightning speed cpu obscures the view and perception of buyers as they keep on thinking of the speed over than the more important aspects like the battery life.. I think when most customers buy the S2 only a few will ask the sales person about the battery life..

I think it's those small aspects in life that makes a huge difference after seeing the bigger picture..

+1 I'm sick of him and his theories.

Here's some advise positron:
1) Stop with u and ur theories. Just explain in normal english k?
2) Stop posting updates about apps we dont care about, like siri for android
3) Research before asking silly questions
