Why not just activate them in origin/steam and download instead?

hmm, AFAIK you can't activate most of EA's game in Steam now.
Also, I believe we still can download from Amazon even after we activate them in the platform.

So far only tested with recently purchased Darkspore.

Which game?

So far I have tried CnC4, Me2 normal edition, and Darkspore.
Even the BF3 Expansion can be activate in Origin.

Only so far BC2 : Vietnam can;t. I believe this one need to be activated in-game.

I hadn't buy it yet. Just asking. If it is possible I want to buy it from amazon. I have the retail version but cant activate on origin.

Only games released 2009 or later can be activated directly on Origin. Mass Effect 1 is not one of them. However you can still get EA customer support to "add it" to you Origin library if you insist.

Any games purchased in Origin are already Origin bound to your account.
