So ive been playing in NA server for some time now because ive been frustrated by the "blizzard league promotion rules". Before this i started from bronze in SEA server but cant seem to get promoted higher than silver league.

Then i started with NA server just to look whether i improved in the past 4 months and Blizzard had thrown me into the Platinum league after the placements matches. but i dont think i can cope with the level of play. Coz i prefer macro play rather than timing pushes for im playing zerg. Is there any basic requirements im lacking as a zerg player in order to cope with the level of play in Platinum league?

watched arid plataue.

1) always open hatch 1st against terran. i tot you like macro play? pool 1st is quite bad

2) no1 makes 72 drone and have 4 lings 10 minute in the game. and only make lings after you see enemy push. its too slow.

3) dont make roach warren unless you see hellion.

4) after lair, research baneling nest

5) always have a handful of army... cuz if you see opponent push only you make lings, you still need to morph into banes. all these takes time. and you dont want to give him time to siege up.

6) why you cancel your natural hatchery at 1st?

drones. ovies. creep. scouting. injects.

1) early game abit sloppy but he didnt punish you for that when he had like 17 roach to your 1 roach count. he could have out right killed you.

2) the main problem in the game is you didnt spend your money as well as your opponent. you were about 20-30 supply behind throughout the 2-3 base stage and you constantly have like 1.5k mineral floating. while your opponent kept his money low. basically both of you were macroing hydra roach out of 3 base 3 queen. but he injected better and spent his money btr. so he won during the engagement. he got way more stuff than you. its all about injecting and making army.

1) again, open pool 1st

2) why you make both bane nest and roach warren? unless you are planning to all in....but you didnt...well, some ppl dno how to deal with early game tank pushes. just use mass lings....banes might help. but definitely not roaches, roaches sucks in tvz.

3) why you rush to brood lord? wheres your muta harrass? well, he wasnt good enough to capitalize on the fact that you rush to BL. BL rushing is very weak to all kind of attacks.

4) spend your mmoney btr. not spending them by double expanding, spend them by making army. its army that wins you game, not drones.

5) make 2-3 spines at your further expos, they are quite good against drops.

6) dont morph all your corrupters into BL, you need more corrupters than BL to deal with the vikings. see the ending? sad. owh, you could have used tranfuse but either way you are going to lose because he had so many vikings. use infestor to fungal them. anyway, you shouldnt rush to BL, use mutas to stop the terran from macroing, because rushing to BL means you cant put pressure on terran, he is going to max out soon and you are going to die.

7) how to micro BL. ok, BL is to force tanks to unsiege, so you dont sack all your lings to attack the tanks. and BL sit back do nothing. totally wrong. you let your BL hit the marines, then let tanks splash damage to damage the marines. then terran will unsiege to protect his own marine. thats when you flood your lings in to attack the unsieged army.

Added on February 4, 2012, 2:13 pmthats all for now....basically just know when to spend your money. and i realized you hiccup too much on overlord supply cap........thats very bad. learn when to make overlord. even when i offrace as zerg, i rarely supply cap. umm....after about 50 supply, always make sure you have about 10 free supplies. after 1 round of inject, depends on how many supply worth of unit you are making, replenish same worth of ovie.

tho your hotkeys are not really nice, those dont really matter yet. fix your supply and money spending, can at least bring you to be a solid diamond.

Drone saturation.

Always check ur drone saturation.
make sure its 22(mineral) + 6(gases) on main, natural, third.

aim for midgame 75-80 drone count. (10-12mins)
replace drones u use for gas/buildings

ovie timing.

1 ovie at a time : 15 pool first/17FE, 26, 32, 40
2 ovie at a time : after 44-100
3 ovie at a time : 100-150
maxed it out : 150-200

another tips. use hatch larvae for ovies. inject larvae for units.
or. spare one inject larvaes for ovies.

ALWAYS USE UR LARVAE. dont leave it idle. do something.

Creep spreading

watch minimap. see purple area. not far enuf? moarrr creep tumorrrrr.

Scouting

always have a spotter infront of opp base. (ling, highground ovie, wtv) just make sure u know when the push is coming.

spotter on every possible expo (third,4th,5th....99th)

WATCH MINIMAP. ALWAYS.

ur eye cycle shud be.
-TOP RIGHT (supply/money)
-BTM MIDDLE (status)
-BTM LEFT (minimap)

cant see anything on opp base? send ovie in. it doesnt hurt.

Injects

not much i can give u on this. since its personal preference. for me. tapping works best.

tap queen. got energy? inject
inject dy? creep tumor

i cant just jump around n take older replays,since that replay wud be outdated (patch changed for example)

Added on February 4, 2012, 11:03 pmi have big problem when playing against terran marine tank push + their bunker rush. so i suppose in some games i would go for 14 pool. I will start using 15 hatch after my bunker rush defend is better.

6/7 RR all ins can be easily scouted.
If you're in gold or lower platinum, maybe you can win most of it. But if you're at top platinum or diamond, i think it becomes obsolete..

i used to do that time to time in my diamond. shit seems to work so why the hell not eh?

besides, if it fails, you can always drone the f*** up

any roach related attacks against terran is stupid. roach expand, 2 base roach ling 7RR 5RR...ever heard of malolder but i do think to an extend, infestor ling play can be applied in both zvp and zvt.

but any roach related strat against protoss and zerg works wonder.
