i am afraid it is true this excise duty thing. me had the same problem. two friends the same thing different place buy. i dont get it as well last time. i would have thought they clear the darn thing BEFORE they ship the car to one dealer or another
i was held back for nearly a week for that last time. but be patient sir, after they  cleared  the  duty, then it just about registering with the jpj. all it take is 10 minutes key in this that sign this that. system okay, its all 10 minutes.
Sir, my excise duty was cleared yesterday morning. Then, was told waiting for K1 from Honda Malaysia. This morning only send to JPJ for registeration. unsure.gif That also I probed and asked then only told me JPJ got problem since 31/7 ? Not sure to believe anymore or not. hmm.gif

The Civic Hybrid has it, Honda called it as Heat Absorbing Glass, not sure about other Civic though.

CKD Civics do not come with heat absorbing glass. MYVi, yes. blush.gif

Where's the person who started the poll of Civics booked ? Looks like the numbers have gone up since. Today's the D day for my case. Thanks.

Bro,
i would think it is easier and convenient to just continue here rather then creating another thread just for the numbers sake. What do you think ? Thanks.

Finally reporting in. As for NVH, my 1.8 is much quieter than FD model as tried before. All the wheel arch are fully covered this time round. Suspensions are much more comfortable than FDs. Cornering is good too due to shorter wheel base where the FDs had problem for its rear wheel to catch up with the front wheel due to longer wheel base. I feel that this FB drives almost like the Accord 7th Gen. just to share, the 8th Gen Accord is a let down as compares to the 7th Gen Accord. For those who mentioned that NVH for new 2.0 is loud on highway could be due to PS3 tyres. Just like the current facelifted Accord is much quieter than the pre facelift model.

Added on August 8, 2012, 9:06 amI am on ECON mode all the time. I am ok with it. No complain of lacking to torque or power thus far. Thanks.

Added on August 8, 2012, 9:07 amThe seats are softer than the FDs.

But somehow I think the road noise is quite obvious, not sure whether this is related to the Dunlop tyres.
Other than these, it is a great car to drive.

We find that our Civic 1.8 is pretty quiet using GY NCT5. I owned Altis before to compare here. Thanks.

My SA told me shipment for Modulo bodykit LA still in Port Klang waiting clearing from Customs.
If only we have rear spoiler like Civic Si it would looks much better

GY NCT5 are crap tyres. Damn noisy and poor road grip. If you claim your car is quiet, then its because of NVH. Not the tyres. Change the tyres if you value safety. U can exchange for almost zero cost or just pay a small amount for Continental CC5. Much better tyres, good wet grip and more quiet than the NCT5.

Thanks mate for the head up. What other good tyres to get other than CC5 ? Thanks.

Congrats to Bros and Sis who have just gotten their new Civics. Enjoy your ride. My mileage now stands at 535km edy. Never regret and never listen to those negative comments and decided to take the plunge for it. Thanks.

Does our Civic come with Traction Control and speed sensitive control power steering ? Read the manual but it doesn't say anything of them. Thanks.

Did my first service for my Civic. Checked with SC about EO. Was told that our car already had engine run in at the plant. There after at the plant, the EO is drained and new EO poured in before our Civics leave the plant. Therefore, no requirement to change at 1000km service. Thanks.

Added on August 18, 2012, 7:57 amHad my wheel alignment done at SC. Readjusted my boot as before there was a spring noise each time I closed the boot. Noticed that the SC switched off my ECON mode when test driving my Civic for alignment purpose. My guess is that the tester likes to drive fast in my new Civic. tongue.gif Other than everything is fine. Hissing noise is from the aircon compressor.

My IMiD reading crusing at legal speed showed 16.5km/l over long distance drives.
I fully embraced the coming AES cameras. cry.gif 1.8 is good enough for me. Just need something with strong reliability and good space for the family use. And, must have VSA. blush.gif

1 mth on my ride. So far so good. Done 1700KM on the ODO. Fuel consumption is reasonable.
By the way, have anyone notice the oil filter in ur car? Are they using the HAMP ? Coz i didnt notice.
*
My mileage already 2200km got the car later than you. blush.gif Travelled for 4 hours with 80km/h just now with ECON. IMiD showed 18.6km/l. 36.9L for 670.xxKM in total. What is HAMP by the way ? Thanks.

Road conditions contribute significantly to the NVH level in the cars regardless which Brands of tyres you used.

I am a happy owner of 1.8S. No complain thus far after 3000KMs. I am ok with the power as I have owned something much more than that prior. Thanks.

There is always the option of turbos and superchargers for those who needs more pooowwwaaahhhhhh....  flex.gif  brows.gif
As long as it's a popular model in the market, there will be bolt on kits developed for it.    icon_idea.gif

We already have supercharged CR-Z on the street today. 200hp on wheel if not mistaken.  rclxm9.gif

With the Honda, many ways of doing it. I have no doubt with them. Check out CRZ track run with AE86 in Japan. Wonder sight of it. Thanks. tongue.gif
