Roberto first match! I kinda like him during his West Brom time. He got that passion in his face. I think it's time for our thread to have some positive sparks huh?

It's really hard to play the best formation according to the best position for players.
Examples:
-Mata: He's good to play behind the striker. 4231.
-Ramires: He's good as a pressing and forward runs midfielder. 433.
-Sturridge: He's good as a right forward, pushes really forward. 433.
-Lampard: Played 433 for years, should be most comfortable with 433.

So, looking at these, 433 would be the better option. But with 433, our 3 men midfield's creativity are just extremely weak. That's the key for our failure to unlock opponent team. And, this will causes Mata have to cut back inside to create creative sparks but it left our left flank to be opened for opponent to run in.So, defensive problems again.
I don't study football management, so I hope Roberto can understand this problem and fix this as soon as possible.

Some strong turns by Torres. But I guess it won't save him from being subbed out. Torres out, Drogba in half time.

How about Sturridge as central forward and Ramires as our right forward just like today? Ramires is extremely good when attacking.
Great win today, our season under RDM kicks off now!

oh btw, anyone jizzed when Ivanovic did the trick and Meireles bang the ball to the back of the net? That goal IS JUST AWESOME.

Hmm, I think Benfica is a satisfying one. Wouldn't say it's an easy draw, but a pretty good one I think. A duel in CL never been easy, always tricky. Interesting to see Ramires and Luiz can revisit their former team and have a little reunion with their teammates, and for Ramires, he might visit his cute little eagle which he photographed together before he joined us tongue.gif

Ehehe, our cute Ramires biggrin.gif

Hmm, I would play the almost the same formation that we used against Birmingham in last FA CUP match.
Torres
Kalou Malouda Sturridge
Meireles Mikel
Bertrand Cahill Luiz/Bos Iva
Cech

haha nice pic of ramires there eric!it seems he's put on some muscle since he made the switch.would be interesting to see studge in his favourite central position..torres out wide anyone?they can always interchange during the game.
*
Heheh, he works really hard I think. Remember his first 10matches? we were shouting our lungs out at him. Unbelievable, he turned into such a fantastic player in just one season. Clearly he is an ambitious and determined player biggrin.gif
Oh, it seems very possible that Torres will play wide and Sturridge in central, we have seen that couple of times this season. But the more i see sturridge play, the more i like him playing as a Right wing forward. His cut in are extremely dangerous to the opponent and delicious to watch.
I have a funny feeling that Kalou would do pretty good , so I will just leave the job to him. I have doubt on Malouda for playing behind the striker, but I think he has the ability to do so. Di matteo should sort everything out tongue.gif

Oh and, Torres in the hole. Maybe our 50m are paid to make a new Xavi? flex.gif

I damn suka the players run near to receive the ball, then pass to a running player, and return ball to another player who are making runs. SO AWESOME. I miss this!

What the biggest change RDM made is, he made Mata as a central playmaker instead of playing him in left wing and drifting in which AVB did. That left a huge space in left flank and let opponent to exploit it.
RDM fixes this with Kalou on the left, Mata behind the striker. Two pivot behind the 3 attackers and one striker. That works well! smile.gif

Then we can see Mikel in a much attacking role too. The two pivot will interchange their attacking role in the match.

Okay good, this means, RDM might start Kalou on the left and Ramires on the right against MCY this wednesday.

Look at that header. THAT ONE. THAT'S FERNANDO TORRES.
Oh my god, I jaw dropped.

Dafuq that goal? Thanks to Torres two goals, or else it would end up with a draw again.

Sometimes strikers are meant to be selfish too, couldn't blame them sometimes. Maybe they're just having some bad luck.
But, Sturridge yesterday is just ridiculous. That's just lack of professionalism, he has his teammate ahead of him or beside him that he can easily square the ball, but instead, Sturridge used a much more complicated way. That's just too muchh.
Oh yeah, and I don't like Bosingwa. I sound bias, but his crossing macam rugby, attitude like a 30year old fail man. His body language is poor, he is slack, he don't seem to be enthusiastic enough.
Look at Kalou yesterday! Wow, hands down. He's energetic, enthusiastic and playing with real passion. Same goes to Mata and Torres as well.
TORRES. oh my god, that's just awesome, his 2 goals and 2 assists sum it all.
I love Cahill goal, his movement is excellent.

Regarding MCY, I would go for Drogba and Kalou.
Drogba
Kalou Mata Ramires
Lampard Essien
Cole Terry Luiz Iva
Cech

I don't think it's a good time to play Torres, and Sturridge is just too selfish for big matches. Kalou was excellent yesterday, he's those type of player who can slow down MCY game to avoid mcy having control.

Rather, have you ever thought that all the players might have "something" under their jersey leh...

*cough* Looking at how Sturridge played last night, he macam ada something SO big under his shirt to show after a goal?

Hahhaa...
*
This makes some sense! Muamba is also Sturridge's former teammates during his Bolton loan spell!
Hmm, now I starting to feel like wanna forgive sturridge because he just wants to show his 'pray for muamba' tshirt? tongue.gif

I think RDM sub kalou out against leicester because he wanna starts him against MCY!
