another goal would be epic!
and yet we question the ref decision when our opponent manage to catch us after they are 3-nil down. so, what are our response when we are in the same situation? at least that certain team do so much to force the ref in giving wrong decision. |

in all honesty, i was expecting a headline that involves avb this morning but nothing happens haha seriously, i cant even remember the last time we won a match in the premier league. and now i'll check in soccernet.. wait ya!
wow.. the last we won is against sunderland which is on 14th jan. so, by 15th feb, we did not win any epl games in a month. this is not even a good stats for a team going for 4th place. last time we laugh at liverpool because for them, achieving 4th place is like winning the PL. and now, the same happens to us haha |

yah.. if dont need him, simply get rid of him. drogba is one of the kind. very very rare to find another one like him. pray really hard lukaku will be like him and with the kind of pressure managers is experiencing at chelsea to deliver something, i wonder he will get his chance or not..
while newcastle had moved on from their fetish towards shearer, we still stuck with drogba.. |

QUOTE(max_cavalera @ Feb 18 2012, 10:14 PM) i loled so hard at this.. and on what basis you rate lukaku better than torres? through youtube compilation i presumed? even safee sali can become a world class act in a youtube compilation la.. that lukaku guy was not even proven yet. we can be optimistic on his development and that is all. the case with torres is that the team are not ready to move from the realm of drogba. while torres is upfront, we play as if drogba there. both play differently. and since we believe drogba will play until he is 40 for chelsea, that is why people say torres positioning is awful and etc. drogba looks awesome because the team evolve around him. just sell torres if you cannot make him the focal point of the team. |

QUOTE(max_cavalera @ Feb 19 2012, 05:26 PM) theres chance that he probably turn out to be another Andy Carroll...but at the moment hes better than Torres...if him were given the chances when drogba gone for 1 month instead of torres im confident he'd be in the scoresheet 1-2 times arlready. we'd be gambling with torres upfront for too many matches already and its costing us our games...and probably even AVB head in the not too distant future.. the bolded words summarize pretty much what you want to say. yaa.. IF this and IF that.. Added on February 19, 2012, 5:51 pmon another note...bertrand playing pretty well covering for ashley cole....kudos to him...hope AVB promote this guy to be our 1st eleven if not oso rotation status... true we are gambling with torres. but if our logic and avb's logic are correct, we should not be gambling when the cards on our hand are not strong. if avb wants to gamble with torres, he should transform the team to play into torres's strength. last few season that guys have a serious injury but still manage to get a handuful of goals for liverpool but at chelsea, he is super fit but can't find the goal. now you tell me where is the logic in this? torres got his own quality which is under utilized at chelsea. period. and as long as avb try to act tough in front of the media but lacks the bravery to confront his own player in the locker room, we are bound to win nothing this season. |

watched only the first half and then i shut off the tv because i know we did not deserved to win the game. and it was justified when i see the score on soccernet this morning. lavezzi was simply outstanding and he was tearing our defense like nobody's business. the trio they have is indeed one of the most fearful in europe.
link-up play on our left side was not working. it should be our most potent attacking side but yet, everyone fail to deliver. the goal that we got (against the run of play) was simply luck. so, drogba also can't do the magic eh? inb4 drogba still tired from the tournament last january-february inb4 the clash with the defender early on make him unable to play properly we deserved what we got. |

QUOTE(chitchat @ Feb 22 2012, 09:57 AM) Kakaka so much weight coming from someone that only watch half of the game, like it or not DROGBA is still the best striker CHELSEA had at the moment. I would thought TORRES fanboys has died down after seeing 1 month of his football, he have his chance for 1 whole month, for whatever reason is not working, CHELSEA have more important agenda fighting for 4th spot rather than pleasing TORRES and his fanboys. Somehow i feel is unfair for LUKAKU, he would have been playing more minutes if not because of this TORRES preference treatment, this guys is winning trophy and banging goal (39 goal in 2 season) for ANDERLECHT (a team constantly playing at UCL or Europa League level), a BELGIUM national squad player, and now he is only good enough playing in our reserve. When DROGBA leave end of the season i would hope LUKAKU step up. is there any problem that i only watched half of the game? got others who did not even watched the game and commented here.Ya agree, MEIRELES suppose to be there to make those killer pass but all he do was just safe passing, ball wining and covering he fall short of MIKEL or ESSIEN. Another good news is we will be seeing IVA in RB for coming few weeks yah.. best striker and can't even do his magic. this is the mentality befitting a team that is pursuing 4th place. and for lukaku, he may have his past moments (same as torres while he is at liverpool and atletico) bu sadly, he also fail to show what he is capable of when given the chance. but i have no doubt he got talent. ahhhh the awesome feel of winning a game hehe
petr cech going to jizzed tonight for keeping a clean sheet.. although cahill and luiz is like a time bomb in our defense, i think the will make a good partnership in the future. both are fast and really strong in the air. the most positive thing in this match (beside winning) is that the midfielders keep producing a lot of first time balls which i think is very essential in unlocking opponent's defense. hope the momentum will keep on going until the end of the season. |

QUOTE(epsonstylux @ Mar 1 2012, 11:28 AM) so it is still IF. agree with the bolded partsheva? when ancelotti came he wasnt playing either if i recall. torres? i would say he is a wrong player for the club. you see, almost all of our transfers is not what the coach wants. it is simply what the owner want. thats why torres couldnt fit in. and thats why jose is asking full power of the team and he got sacked. i think roman got his lesson already |

its terrifying to see how we are so dependent on our old guards.. although sometime they did produce their moment of magic, but somehow these players have very big ego. the managers are there to give instruction but lately, these senior player like to take things into their own hands and disrupt the harmony in the team..
if the team need to be rebuild, it should start now and should start from the back. the combination of cahill and luiz is terrific as a starters. imagine what they will become next season if they keep playing on together until end of season.. i got nothing much to say on the midfielders and strikers. they are all in a comfort zone. because everybody thinks if they dont like the manager, play badly and make a fuss so that the managers get the sack. roman should really tackle this problem.. no player is bigger than the club.. while arsenal had move on from henry, pires, ljunberg, we still stay with our own heroes.. while manutd had move on with nistelrooy, beckham, jaap stam, we still stay.. and while newcastle had move on from shearer, which is a huge leap from them, we stay with iur guns.. i am not saying we must sell these senior player but they need to behave like what giggs and scholes is doing. play at the right time.. preserve your energy and prevent injuries. give chance to younger player to show their talent.. oh btw, i watched last night game and i am entitle to leave a comment here haha |

part of the blame did fall on avb.. he did not live the expectation of being a tactician.
1>he anticipated a match without any support plan if things went the other way. 2>he never get his substitution right and i can't recall any player who become a supersub this season. 3>he NEVER stamp his authority in the dressing room to cope with the so called 'legenddary' players. if i recalled, he also admit that he takes input from senior player on how they should play a game. so, how this is going to work? i do strongly believe the old guards did have some part in the sacking. i am very very disgusted with how our senior player conduct themselves. how much longer they think they can play? let see what will happen at the end of the season.. |
