Any1 care to comment?

I think the reason no one commented is because they either non issue or has been commented on multiple times

at low brightness you'll see some graininess, but that's about it I guess

other issue I think you can search for them

There isn't a built-in WiFi Direct client on the Galaxy Nexus, unlike the galaxy S 2. Neither are there WiFi Direct apps on the Market. Super bummed about this. Can't play multiplayer without getting another friend to become a hotspot (and he can't play too).
*
True. Couldn't figure out what the Wifi Direct options does in the settings, it doesn't work doh.gif

Thanks for the answers.

I think I am getting this really soon(if no "accident").

Do you guys think it's worth to get it?

My place is selling for RM 2000? Is it OK?

Thanks again.

Will flash some ROMs after buying it.  tongue.gif

for SME set, 2k is about right, though there are definitely cheaper else where, but not by much anyway

I mean totally reset the phone back to original..
Is it possible it will brick the phone?

I plan to do that because my phone is getting lagger and lagger
I guess there is a prob when I flashing between rom
So decided to flash stock rom and reflash M3+ApexV5 and done..
*
very simple, just download the the img file and flash it using gnex toolkit.

So it will totally wipe everything including file/backup in SD?
How you restore your apps then?

If he is using stock rom without rooting, he can't restore using TB right?
*
but if you're running stock rom, you wouldn't need to reflash a stock rom in the first place wink.gif

i am just pointing out a scenario that let say if he does intend to stay stock, TB cant help to restore the apps+data wink.gif
*
but he needed to backup is because he wanted to flash back to stock which will wipe his sd partition wink.gif

or if you just want to backup, root and use TB smile.gif

why did they say that ICS is respond is not as expected? blink.gif
*
I am guessing they are judging it based on GNex's sales, which is inaccurate, because there are so many other phones that the general consumers would rather get instead.

If they are basing it on reviews, I don't think you can say that ICS is a fail, because every single review has been praising ICS as the best Android update yet.

I don't think ICS is over hyped either, the hype is mainly coming only from tech blog reviews, no one else knows what ICS is, and what it does. I would go as far as saying that its not even hyped based on people around me. My point is, the hype does not go outside of the tech community, which is the minority.

Besides, if you compare this to the STOCK Gingerbread like the reviews did, can you honestly say that it is not a huge step up?

phew... finally, i can rest assured my screen dont have dead/stuck pixels anymore...
thanks to the shop i got it from (directd subang), they simply swap the faulty one i got last nite with a diff clean set...
so far, this is the best shop that deals with AP set i ever dealt with.. before this, once I walk out from the shop, watever happens, they wont even consider swapping.. straightway, masuk repair centre..

hopefully, my new gnex stays clean from dead pixels as long as possible...
*
you must be lucky, because my friend had the exact opposite experience of yours when dealing with directD.

yesterday is the day that i finally started to use it like normal phone instead of spare phone. and i find it lacks a lot of user-friendly features. or mayb u can say i have to adapt my user pattern in order to fit into ICS. for example in GalNote/ SGSII i can easily swipe at a contact to left for messaging or to right for calling. on GalNex? swipe will bring u to another tab. wifi direct is another thing without answer. no doubt the UI received facelift, and there's some positives in it. but in the end, it caused much more dissatisfaction to me instead of surprises. might because of the high expectations i put on it. but this is google flagship. shudnt be so depressing right? just my opinion. dont get influenced by my judgment though.
*
reason is, you are comparing ICS to TW GB, not the stock GB.

those functions you mentioned are the ones added in by Samsung. Which is good if you like it.

But if you're comparing it this way, its like how iPhone users are saying how he can do everything on iOS more intuitive than using Android in general, because you as a user have accustomed to how the UI is.

seriously? the guy i dealt with kinda cool.. his name was Soon..
when i return the set to him just now, it still has the original NEXUS screen protector attached.. i guess thats why...
plus, i just got it last nite...
he said, if its more the a few days, then he strictly said, no warranty...
which is why i did a thorough test on the spot before i finally say, yes! this is the set i want...
and after this, he told me, i cannot swap anymore if its dead pixel related... fair enuf since its an AP set...
*
yea I guess that is why, my friend only discovered his screen is a defect only after about a week later. I'm don't remember what the sales man name was, but I am guessing he is the boss there based on how he talked to my friend. lol

i think its more precise to say speaker quality.. sound quality is pretty good if you use headphones.. so its the speaker not the sound card
*
and I would add that its the volume that sucks, not the quality, the quality is actually pretty good, its just that you can hardly hear it.

The first thing I checked when I bought all my digital stuffs with LCD technology is the dead pixel check..
Hey bro, I am trying that. Will let you know later wink.gif
Only 16GB for GSM available in this world. 32GB will not see the light.

Think no more, just get GNex. Well I just bought mine again today biggrin.gif
