From recovery just clear cache partition and at advanced clear dalvik cache

clear cache & dalvik cache for changing very different style kernel.
same kernel for just updated version, without clear should be fine, except the dev required.

beside do you guys able to uninstall or disable maps? some say that it will preserve battery by disable it.

I am using Manhattan ROM which based on AOKP which very satisfied currently, smooth like better and longer battery life compare to ARHD. No bug so far after being using 2 weeks. For browser, dolphin HD or Maxthon never disappointed much user friendly compare to stock. Just share info if anyone of you haven't use.

no need any setting mar. jz key in ur email address and password in the "email" app will do.

you use what kernel now? after you install setcpu, choose 'Auto detect speed recommended'

#Then at the 1st page, you can choose your desired governor. mostly dev prefer either ondemand, conservative or interactive.
#And then you can adjust CPU freq. normally 1.2Ghz is default. you can overclock the cpu freq to 1.3Ghz. For min freq, just leave it to 320Mhz.
#For extras, you can set a profiles of your desired frequencies. I mean you can set if your screen is off, while charging etc etc.

p/s: btw, I don't use SetCPU anymore. i just relying on the default cpu changer in settings.

forgot to tell you about 'Set on boot' feature. If you tick that option, whenever you reboot your phone, your cpu setting will remain the same.

Apex rom use what kernel? Imoseyon right? I can suggest you too use the default max freq which is 1.2Ghz. But if you want to overclock to 1.3 also ok. no harm to try bro.

AFAIK apex v5 already outdated right.? because I noticed not update on that kernel recently.  But it's still okay if you want to use that kernel.

On your question "OC got wad use". Boost your phone performance but consumes battery juice.
