You may think that way but the truth is you can easily find ppl who are warmhearted (very likely not singaporeans)
Mobility will not be a big issue...there are lot of forums for specific interest and area which you can join.
i stay in the north but play badminton in the east every week because of the company.

u wan gardening...then lower ur requirement to potted plants.
as i said...u wan frens to yum cha and tok kok, go make more frens.
u wan a home...go rent the whole unit then...no money, share wif frens/settle down.
when u are in kl...the petrol is cheap when u are earning RM and buying in RM? no toll in KL?
i dun drive here so i dun really know the exact price of petrol, but from what i observe...it is abt 2.xx per litre, which is similar to the price in m'sia 1.9x
u are complaining things are against u when u are affected by change (due to the move) but refuse to adapt.

Kawan, am not here to complain. I just echoed the post that living in sgp is a bit boring only.

Perhaps, you are still young, you still can enjoy hangout in pubs, discos, makan makan here and there, shopping here and there. But me unker already, most friends here also busy after work. When come out, mostly end up in the pub but drinking is a problem again.....some times curi curi drink till 3-4 mugs but must be super careful and alert on the road... shakehead.gif Am have no less friends here cari makan too, just that we all spread north, east, south, west and working time cannot predict, always last minute got this and that....

Backhome, i have a big garden to play with, and you ask me downgrade to potted plants here at the corridor? That is so different and i dont have time to take care all this as me a frequent traveller...I only stay about 50% here and the rest is either backhome or outstation....so, the question to rent a whole unit of hdb is really out of the question. Let me fully settle all my properties backhome, then, may be will seriously start thinking whether to get a private condo or not. hmm.gif Like that means, i will be more committed to grow my root deeper in sgp.

Petrol here is expensive leh...around S2.20 now....If you can get something llike RM1.90 across the strait, sure you will feel here is expensive... laugh.gif Parking also not cheap leh. But save time lar if driving and more flexible.

Anyone seen the KFC incident in Malaysia?

What a damn racist act by that bunch of pariah.

I mean come on, if this ever happen in Singapore, it a gone case, that guy will probably get an ISA term for 5 years or disbarred Singapore citizenship.

See for yourself how singapore treats its minors.

Even indonesia is better than malaysia nowadays.

You only watch the incident? Dont jump into conclusion so easily. Everyone has their side of story and you dont know who is right and who is wrong at the first place and you are not the judge and thus dont add more oil into the fire on the racial thing. From the way you in the post, sure you already side the chinese side and has pre-judge the bunch of KFC workers is at fault. Are you 100% sure as if you are there. Peace bro.... biggrin.gif

u said u are not complaining but ur post says otherwise.
as i said, u changed the environment u are in, but u wan to remain the same...up to u then.
if it is that bad, then why are u still here?  sweat.gif  sweat.gif
they have their bad, but we still chose to come here because of their good
so why keep focusing on the bad when the good outweighed the bad in ur decision to come here.
sooner or later (possibly now), u may become a true blue...with your favorite past time being the same as them - complaining

ok...i better stop if not jbking goin to keel me for spamming off topic.
*
Alamak... doh.gif you still dont get it, am not complaining, just share the view of a bit boring, If i have painted you the bad side doesnt mean there is no good side mah...at least the money is good... laugh.gif

Me come here not like you who come here look for job. Me come here because boss bring me down. Ask me resign meleshia side and move down here. So, i follow lor. See the salary tiba tiba increase, but have to work away from home and family lor. Suppose we going to setup another Meleshia subsi and i will be posted to take care the company over there but plan change liao. Wao, suddently work at back home again but salary is in SGD....who dont want? laugh.gif But, i have take about 1 year to consider this before i finally come to sgp leh....wasted one year why dont come down earlier doh.gif ... laugh.gif

You know this likely wont happen in the service industry here since most of them are foreigners and they would rather bite the bullet and take the insults and what not from irate customers rather then lose their jobs and be sent back to their home country. This does not apply to singaporeans or malaysians since its much easier for them to get another job compared to the other FT's.
*
Agree to certain degree.....even foreigners also got good and bad one...some time, when anger breaks, hell can happen.....kill you also can.... laugh.gif

To me, all not a problem....you see as a problem?

Added on February 10, 2012, 10:48 am
that's why a lot of service industries in Sg they employed non-english speaking employees. You can complaint/screw em' all day long but with little effect  nod.gif

But, i guess they all understand if you say "Feck You"

Anyway, can he survive back in MY with 8k?....
*
sleep on the "kaki lima" or under the bridge will cost nothing....so, he can save further 1.3 to 1.5k..... tongue.gif

*
temporary go wipe table first... tongue.gif = means do other jobs first while looking for a replacement job. Staying jobless for 6 months is no joke man.. hmm.gif

It seems to me that ur fren is oso choosy.
If after 6 month oso cannot find, no nid to insist maintaining his last drawn salary. Even if 50% if his pay go for it.
Malaysia oso cannot find job meh? SHould be easier there.

I think goin for junior position is easy, as long as he dun ask for his existing pay or inissting not more than 30% pay cut.
Qualification is not a barier, he can just delete it out. Can delete Master can even delete his Degree. Unlike experience, which is hard to delete.
My advise is beggers can't be chooser, unless he is wealthy.

Noob worker like me working in Tuas can only see bunch of bangla walking and loitering around after working hours. You hardly see any girls in this area. What a shame.

Just changed some SGD to MYR today at my usual money changer in Ipoh. Pretty low at 2.38. Interesting thing is that I'm checking Maybank2u.sg right now, and it's also 2.38 using Regionlink. This is the 3rd time this year that I've checked and found that M2U is offering a competitive rate vs money changers. There is of course the issue of the S$15 fee with M2U, but given the fact that I had to walk around with a pocketful of SGD for the past couple of days... $15 to remove the whole hassle seems worth it.
*
Last week, i change @2.403 at Jurong point.....so fast drop to 2.38 liao.... rclxub.gif

Last week, see the rate @2.403, didnt change all the money, only 2k, as thinking this week to change the remainder and hope can rebound....but now.... rclxub.gif

nah. just my opinion it's more worthy to 'waste' money in Sg rather than Msia. I mean dining, clubbing, accessories etc etc

Added on March 1, 2012, 3:07 pm
must be insured coz I see so many Msia plate vehicles in Singapore, especially bike
*
Just for myself, i rather waste money in Malaysia as it will be more as with the power of exchange. Food and a lot of things is much more cheaper back home. Probably the reason is i going back everyweek and thus why lead me to have such believe. laugh.gif
