Try to turn off your auto sync.

Setting>personal>account & sync>off

Is normal sense reload after heavy gaming or heavy apps, not really a bug just android manage your ram to run sense after heavy gaming or heavy apps, so no worry.

I thought others phone like SGSII also will restart after heavy gaming not only HTC, is still a mobile phone not PSP

Just flashed bricked kernel, my phone are flying too but the battery drain for 10 minutes, maybe should let it settle down.

@teh_master after you flashed bricked kernel do you clear cache and dalvik?

Yeah you just flash from recovery, for me i just flash and run, but some has advice to clear cache and dalvik when you flash anything new, so is your call .

For the battery life i can't tell you much coz i just flashed it this morning will monitor for a few days . And please nandroid before you flash just in case anything wrong.
