Your stock rom version doesn't play an affecting role in order to achieve root n flashing custom rom(s)

A little additional input on top of your prompt advice : you need to update firmware for ics custom rom only. You are good to go to just flash gb custom rom straight away.

bear in mind that most of the developers has stopped developing GB roms. there is quite a numbers of stable release ranging from ARHD, InsertCoin, Leedroid, Virtuous just to name a few. i honestly didnt try each and every of them but pretty sure there are some worth trying rom which i didnt mentioned earlier.

for latest ICS, ARHD and InsertCoin, as usual taking the lead with frequent updates and release. I didnt try them out so cant comment on their performance, as i am still sticking to Leedroid's build based on 3.24. my advise for those are without patience and hunger for frequent updates / releases, please consider before trying Leedroid.

it is dirt cheap in my opinion, could it be defect unit or poor condition?

went to check out for original screen protector at htc booth the gardens yesterday, they no longer selling it. what is available is not full screen type.

what surprised me is i saw a rhyme demo unit there.. nobody talks about it, seems like.. a failure model in msia?

phew, luckily my clear original screen protector is still serving me well since June 11.

It cost me rm30.

1st 2 weeks running of the rom i doesnt experience any random restarts.. until i tried the leedroid tweak, i started to have the issue. sense also restart frequently.

i flashed the rom on top to remove the leedroid tweaks.. but it somehow still persist. tried fixed permission and wipe dalvik cache.. it ease the issue a lil but after a day or two, it comes back again..

gonna wait for new release.. or otherwise.. just bear with it lo.. lol

it is the memory management to free up more ram / resource for the resource hunger sense. if cant live with it, please drop the sense for senseless rom or aosp rom.

master leedroid overlooked the ota ruu posted.. plus his wife is going for operation monday (local time), i believe he is in the kitchen these days for sensation rom

Chill mate, we are blessed in this community, virtuous team and baad (insertcoin) are already porting sense 4.0 for sensation. Check it out at xda.

i've gone thru that in early stage when i first started to flash custom rom.. 1st started with arhd, followed by leedroid and amazed by the stabilities provided. lee insists on official release as build which ensure good performance.

Partially agree with you. Previously gb roms, I have greater stability of leedroid Rom with bricked kernel over leedroid kernel.

downloaded the rom n firmware, dont even have time to flash.. arhh...

dont get bothered by benchmark result. in my previous experience, leedroid kernels tends to give me much lower benchmark results in GB, but the performance and fluidity is there. when i match bricked kernel with leedroid, it flies even higher!

for your case, could be kernel related. try bricked / faux / sebastian kernel and see if you can achieve higher benchmark

bro, i would recommend you with below steps:
1. superwipe
2. flash leedroid v.7.0
3. power down
4. boot into bootloader to update firmware
5. reboot

btw.. i am experiencing the raw power of leedroid v.7.0, 1.5ghz with lagfree governor. awesome experience! gonna let the phone to sit in after couple of hours, try a few charge cycle while monitor phone's heat level to decide whether to undervolt. more to discover! =)

You mean restore app or contact? I restored my apps via TB since I come from ics

Undervolt means lower power supply for CPU, hence will reduce overheating issue after overclocking. Can undervolt via system tuner. I

my current locations seems locking fine. tried gps locks quite accurate too. got to check tomorrow when i travel to office and see if the weather locations locks accurately or not. will report back

i only experienced once where i unplugged my charger this morning around 5am, the wifi turned on by itself. so far never experiencing mobile network / gps turn on by itself.

@syncguru: checked my battery status is same with % shown in notification bar

and.. i forgot who asked if weather locations locks correctly.. yes it works fine with me @ running with leedroid v.7.0 bricked 0.3 kernel (on demand governor)

i might switch back to leedroid's kernel to test out his "lagfree" governor.
