Yes. I tired so many apps but still no improvements. At last i flash Sebastian kernel and it helps a bit, but there is still some jerky sometimes.

u are using XE version?? dont facing issue like dead pixel, touch screen, dust under the screen like sensation facing??

non XE version. I don't face any issues other than playback issue.

why dont you try different rom

I already tried Leedroid and ARHD. Both are the same.

I don thk is rom or kernel issue..maybe some of ur video not compatible with the phone..try use other format

If not the rom/kernel issue, why is that when recording at 1080p 20mbps, the video is jerky and choppy when viewed on the phone, in pc smooth all the way.

mine is well smooth playing 1080p video i capture with latest leedroid and bricked kernel..
AFAIK some video such as MKV format playback will have lag and jerk issue

Maybe i should return to stock and S-On. Do it from a scratch. Last time when i flash to custom GB rom also having this issue but then i found 1 rom that don't have this issue.

It lags like hell. But when switch to portrait no more lag and choppy. Why like this??

try clear camera data and see it works..not really sure wad is ur problem..maybe wait for the pro to help

Also, do take a look at the below blog post for a little insight on the two types of display made for Sensation and Sensation XE though every XE that I have come across is fitted with Sharp. This probably means HTC recognises the problem with Acer and has decided to use Sharp instead. (Which I came to realise about 2 weeks back that the unit with Sharp display has got dust under the screen as well). I'm going to take a look at the XE and see if there's any such problem.


It's weird. For me, I have basically tested every video player, MX, Mobo, Dice, whatever, all sorts.
MX and Mobo basically have very similar UI and you will probably get confused between the two at times. I settled with MX instead of Mobo though both has the same performance.
MX Player had issues handling even my 720p files. I was trying to watch Game of Thrones 720p on my device. Most episodes ended up with a bizzare sound throughout the movie. I was trying to play The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo 720p this morning using MX Player and well, it is a little jerky as well.(Frame loss, very obvious)
So, I went on to use Dice and as usual it works for me. Youtube Full HD videos downloaded works perfectly. I think it may be a format issue. Try converting your video into mp4. mp4 always works.
