so far im using htc sensation XE
so far so good!
battery superb (using ICS custom rom)
screen is nice
touch screen magically responsive
no prob so far..

but the gps is no no for me..
wait 30min no lock at all

i have been on custom ics since i bought sensation, nvr experience that yet. 

I'm sorry to say this but from my experience with my device and my friend's device, we have dust under the screen. While both us had our screens replaced, mine had a severe touchscreen issue. I can't use it. Hence, they replaced a new unit for me. The thing is we thought it was only a problem with the Acer SLCD panels, but turns out my friend's Sharp SLCD panel has dust under the screen as well. Battery life is quite miserable as well (of course depending on usage pattern). The other issue being the signal lost issue. HTC may say that it's a casing issue. Changing the casing does reduce the time I have a network failure, but the the number of times it happens is still very unsatisfactory when compared to other phones.

Added on March 24, 2012, 4:49 pmAnd they may be a bug in the software as occasionally, when there is an incoming call, my screen does not respond at all until I screen lock and wake the screen again. Happens to both my friend's and mine but mine a lot more often.

Try using Dice Player Ad from Market. It's free and I reckon it's the best at handling video but I still prefer MX when I'm not playing HD content cause no ads.

Well, yeah, there're quite a lot of problems but well I'm not sure about XE but I'll see if my other friend's XE have any of my issue.

Problem i'm facing with my Sensation is the playback issue. Other than that, it's superb! and very fast! I'm going to try Dice Player Ad and c if it solve the playback issue.

Update : Using Dice Player Ad also no improvement. Still jerky, but not in portrait mode. Why i'm having this issue? Please help..

Also, do take a look at the below blog post for a little insight on the two types of display made for Sensation and Sensation XE though every XE that I have come across is fitted with Sharp. This probably means HTC recognises the problem with Acer and has decided to use Sharp instead. (Which I came to realise about 2 weeks back that the unit with Sharp display has got dust under the screen as well). I'm going to take a look at the XE and see if there's any such problem.
It's weird. For me, I have basically tested every video player, MX, Mobo, Dice, whatever, all sorts.
MX and Mobo basically have very similar UI and you will probably get confused between the two at times. I settled with MX instead of Mobo though both has the same performance.
MX Player had issues handling even my 720p files. I was trying to watch Game of Thrones 720p on my device. Most episodes ended up with a bizzare sound throughout the movie. I was trying to play The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo 720p this morning using MX Player and well, it is a little jerky as well.(Frame loss, very obvious)
So, I went on to use Dice and as usual it works for me. Youtube Full HD videos downloaded works perfectly. I think it may be a format issue. Try converting your video into mp4. mp4 always works.

im using the regular sensation..aside from the dust problem..i dont really have any problem with it..never really did have any touchscreen problem. As for the dust..i only have very little dust only..and its only obvious when my phone is under the bright sun...as for the touchscreen issue, i believe they came out with the solution for it already right? Its the grounding pin and the contact on the back case

try to read up on the solution in XDA..it wasnt that hard..you dont really have to get the shop to help you do..whats with all this negative thinking...lol..just get the phone already..if there are problems then send it back to SIS
