Bros thanks for reply.
Tinted second day get car because very hot.  laugh.gif  laugh.gif
laugh.gif  laugh.gif
thumbup.gif  I will keep that in mind.

So no solutions? Been lurking in ceratosg forum seems need to do insulation on air cond cold pipe?
Anyone did?
*
Did the insulation at the pipes myself, normally i set at 23 to 24 deg c even during hot afternoon and it is cold enuf with 4 passengers inside. Checked the cabin temperature b4 and after, just 1 deg c lower.

Hi Randeron,
No experience with raytech, my previous car use 3M (sorry can't remember the grade), is decent enough, and i got warranty for 7 years, after 7 years, it really started to peel off at the front windscree, other sides still OK.

Did u install a good tint films at all windows & windshields? Usually when i drive alone on a hot day, i set the temp to 25-26 deg will do. If got passengers, i usually set the temp to 23-25 deg..24 deg is cool enough already. But of course, i've installed a good solar & security tint film which prevent most of the sun heat from penetrating into the cabin ..& i also did the aircond pipe insulation (DIY) that might also helps  rolleyes.gif
*
Yeap, it is tinted. as you said, 23 - 24 is sufficient.
I think there is some problem whtrader's AC. Even my 12 years old iswara (AC, all original, no more tinted, peel off) does not take 20 minutes to cool.

Hi Bro, 23 to 24 deg? ohmy.gif How is that possible? Mine need to set 18? If not it will be hot even under normal weather. sweat.gif
By the way can share some pictures here of the installation. nod.gif notworthy.gif

Will try to take some photo in the weekend, currently car is not with me......is very simple only, if not mistaken, you can find some info in internet.
i) u just need to find those insulation hose (those similar in your house air con),
ii)locate the cold part of the AC pipes (u can feel with your hand after u run your aircond). Warning, do not touch directly with your hand as there are a few pipes which are hot (also, do not insulate these pipes). Just feel by putting your hands near it, or if you have those temperature gun, it is helpful. Another helpful tip is, those cold pipes will have some water condensation on it.
iii)wrap it and tie with cable tie,etc...........

There are some insulation that comes with adhesive, but it can be very messy after that.

anyone replace your shock absorbers? one SC quoted me RM500++ for the front

btw guys, when I switch on my hazard lights during idling... I can feel my car trembling... but the moment I switch it off, the idling will be smooth again...

anyone experienced this before?
*
no idea with the price of the absorbers. So fast, how long already your car?

No trembling with the hazard light on (tested last week while waiting in car). It shud not be trembling.

I believe the fresh air intake mode is on (green light)..so the outdoor air (with all the smell) will seep into the cabin though the Forte aircond system come with the cabin air filter. Please choose the internal circulation mode by pressing the button manually (amber light)..the outdoor smell will be greatly reduced
*
Yeap, may be that's the cause.

As for the tyre noise, since you just take your cars, try to check the tyres pressure. Mine is the Kumho, and when I got my car, it was 280 on all the tyres, damn noisy. Reduce to 220, it does improved "a little", but not completely silent, I think that is the disadvantage of low profile tyres.

ah.... you are right, it is on air intake mode. Thanks.
Thanks. will try that. If change tyre, it will greatly reduce the noise? any idea roughly how much tyre shop will take back silverstone < 1k km.
*

[/quote)

I think it was mentioned somewhere (LYN or MFC) regarding changing to different brand of tyre and also change to a 16inc rim (but changing rim size will void warranty for affected part). But i can't confirm. As for the trade in, it was also mentioned but I believed in depends on your negotiation skill.

quite effective solution i think..but the evaporator might collects dust after some time, hence reduce cooling effect? need to go air cond service shop more frequent to clean up the evaporator fins....
*
other than going to A/C service shop (for those things cannot DIY), the cabin filter can be cleaned by our ownself on regular basis.

Question : When do we need to clean our air cond fins? brows.gif
Tips: The arrow of our air cabin filter must face down towards the blower not up. If you do that, reduction of air flow will happen. shocking.gif

This ah...depends on your wallet.....can be costly to service A/C, and find a realible one.
Nvr service my forte before coz ~ 1 year. Wonder if SC can service or not?
Other my cars, normally ~ 1.5 years.

yeap, the arrow is facing down towards the holder.

From a lot of comments, it's the cable connection.....done mine myself. If send to SC, shud be able to settle fast (if it is the cable connection).
*but there are some cases due to faulty camera also.

Yes..it's true. Besides that, also need to press the brake pedal when starting the car unless u use the contingency/alternative method to start it (which is not recommended unless necessary)  wink.gif
*
Ha..ha...for safety purpose, even though if manual transmission, u still need it to be in N to start or your car will go forward. You only engage gear 1 or 2 (this also if necessarily) if the clutch cable snapped or u need to push start.

No regrets. Haha. I not gila kuasa. Can feel underpower when got passengers sit inside the car going uphill especially. Need to rev abt 2.5k (coz i still breaking in so dont dare exceed 3k) with 5 ppl in the car inclding myself.
Cabin noise - i not audiophile so it's considered quiet for me, tyre noise quite noticeable ..but i blast my audio when alone.
actually i have budget to go for 2.0 but i think about FC and driving in city, get 1.6 lo. hate to see fuel burn idling haha. like seeing $$ burning away. just my 1 cent.
so far 1.6sx FC - 9.4l/100km. about 70% city , 30 highway. Not sure considered high or not

Cabin noise - actually very quiet, just the low profile tyres are a little noisy (but I like it) smile.gif

Power wise, u can feel 1.6 will be laggy compared with 2.0 (but no regret getting the 1.6, I dun like leather seats...lol)

FC - yeah, around there. But if 100%hiway, can go till 6L/km or lower.

Googled and saw this response from 1 anonymous.
"just done my alignment today. Change the chamber nut.huhu. steering still pull to the left but not as hard as before.. kinda satisfied.."

Nobody seems to have a proper solution to this problem?  doh.gif . anyway when driving abt 120km/h my steering didnt vibrate, everything seems fine. If it's alignment issue i suppose the car steering will vibrate? Kinda creepy to see the steering moving by itself to the left.
*
Mine pulling left issue settled at SC without the need to add camber nut

thanks! then normally u will use cabin circulation than fresh air? but i find it very weird as it if the air comes in without filter at all.. pardon me my first time using such high tech stuffs  tongue.gif
*
The filter is to filter foreign materials such as sands, dust etc, not smell.
If u take out the filter, u can see a lot of sands and dust on the filter. Periodically cleaning of the filter (or you can change it frequently if you can afford) will help to give a better air flow, thus better cooling.
