If i'm not mistaken, the cabin air filter is the active carbon type. Besides filtering the airborne particles, it should also filter the foul odour or smelly air. It will not 100% eliminate the smell however, but will reduce it
*
Izputra, u r correct, there are activated carbon on the filter, and it does help to remove certain % of smells.
It normally binds well with those organic chemicals (except a few) and less effective with inorganics.
But, if you use the external air circulation like our bro here, chances of removing the smells are low, as the external air flow into the cabin is faster than the adsorption rate of the activated carbon, the longer the air is retained with the activated carbon, higher chances of adsorption...............just my 2 cents.

Anyway, activated carbon does not adsorb CO.

i want to ask
does forte automatically unlock car when the owner with the key get near the car and automatically lock car when the owner is far from the car?

i haven't clarified this yet with my forte. thank you.

No, u need to press the black thing on the door handle to lock and unlock (SX only)

However, if u unlock and do not open any of the doors, it will lock back within 30 seconds.

i think it should be after 30 second..

but my brother test my theory by left the car unlock for 20 minutes, yet the door is still unlock.. any thought about that?
*
if u open any doors/boot/bonet after u unlock, it will not auto lock back even after 365 days tongue.gif
so, make sure u lock your car properly.

thank you. always remember to lock my car biggrin.gif

my next question is, what is the proper way to start the car?
before this what i've done is
-open door, step on brake pedal then push the button, immediately engine start

my brother say
-open door, push start button (without step on brake pedal), then push again the start button so that all electronic is powered on,wait for the airbag light to turn off, then step on brake pedal and push button, engine start.

will my electronic part damage if i immediately start my engine without wait for the light indicator?
*
I have no answer for this as I am not expert, just a typical car user (I do know some cars, the procedure is to wait till the airbaglight turn off before starting the engine).
I start the car using the 1st method, my car already 1 year.
Another bro here, Izputra, he mentioned he uses method 1 and his car already 2 years.
I believed either way is OK.

But if you are worry, then u can use the 2nd method to start the car.
