Galaxy Grand having same display resolution as S Advance except on a 5 in screen. I think it will look a bit rough though it should help the battery life.

anyone have the solution to stop the nonstop media scanning?

Try to reboot the phone and wait for several minutes. Maybe this action will help.

Anyone faces this same problem as I do quite frequently (at least once a day).

When unlock screen (no passcode/pattern etc) the screen will immediately off/standby. Via home button, via power button also no difference. Do this a million times just to TRY to unlock. I get this almost every day. And I DEFINITELY will get this whenever I try to take a photo in landscape mode (means almost cannot snap photo at all). Really bad.

Quite frustrated cos I like the phone, overall no other problem.

Already reset, remove memory card...

My phone also did the same action as yours but rarely. The last one is when I try to reduce this phone brightness than its limit...

so far no such problem

My 3g speed was really slow, but when i set 3g only, not auto, the speed will improve...maybe when set auto the phone keep on switching betwen 3g and 2g...really troublesome...

Hello guys, my phone fell down hard and recently ive changed my phone's screen n lcd. But my phone cant detect the simcard after that. The imei no. is also missing.

Cud this be due to the impact?

Well I found this phone is quite sensitive to impact after all. My phone cannot detect the memory card after receiving a small shock. and there is once my phone cannot detect my smcard, Need to pull out the sim and put it back there.

Sent to repair shop already. He said the motherboard is damaged, replacing it will cost 650. So sad.. Wasted money already by replacing the screen+lcd.

I think u should buy new phone instead choosing to repair your broken GSA. Take a brief,

RM650+(SCREEN AND LCD cost) = RM XXXX ALREADY.

For me that is quite a 'good' sum of money. If u add several more bucks, u can buy s2 if samsung is your choice or xperia acro s /xperia s. Huawei also just release a 4.5 inch Ascend D1 in Malaysia which in par of galaxy s3 that only cost at RRP RM12++. U can get it at Rm1099 by online retail.

If your device is still under warranty then should be free.

Unless it was an ap set... they will charge you.
