Just got a white one from aaronc (Garage Sale) today. More expensive than the black, but I really like the colour of this one. Vendors are pushing the price up on white cos not many carry it. Oh wells. whistling.gif The JB update better be worth it. Prefer this model over the Ace anyway.

Hmm. How is the battery life like for you guys?

My 3G is on all the time (and of course, no wifi)... max can last 24 hours. sad.gif Minimal whatsapp, FB & checking emails. Not even playing games. Not much background applications running.

Met a cousin-in-law yesterday, She's a Galaxy S-Advance user. She s considering changing to other phones. The dropped calls incidences and fast battery drain issues she as having with her S-Adv is increasingly making her frustrated.

Anyone here facing similiar issues with an Original Samsung set?

Yep, battery is an issue if 3G is on all the time. I decided to invest in an battery saving app (USD 0.99 or 1.99) which helped a lot. Previously my batt can only last from 8am to 5pm now it can go on for about 1.5 days.

The other problem you might have to contend with the phone is the occassional hang/lag - but I encounter this with all smartphones anyway. Slightly more in Android phones (compared to iPhone & Windows phone).

Overall I still like the phone - OS is good, App store is cheaper than iOS and the size is perfect. Minus the problems above I mentioned. Hopefully when the Jelly Bean update comes around it will be better.

Mine, 3G on all time can stand 9 hours
Wifi on all time can stand 30 hours

Which battery saving apps did u use? I think ur apps is worthy.. Mind to share smile.gif

I'm currently using Battery 2x (extend life) + Advanced Task Manager (reduce lag + extend a bit of life). smile.gif

There are a lot out there. I recommend you try the free ones first, then if suitable go ahead and update to the pro version.

Hmm sorry can't help you here as I'm not familiar with the use of the blackmarket. I downloaded from Google Play.

Anyone faces this same problem as I do quite frequently (at least once a day).

When unlock screen (no passcode/pattern etc) the screen will immediately off/standby. Via home button, via power button also no difference. Do this a million times just to TRY to unlock. I get this almost every day. And I DEFINITELY will get this whenever I try to take a photo in landscape mode (means almost cannot snap photo at all). Really bad.

Quite frustrated cos I like the phone, overall no other problem.

Already reset, remove memory card... cry.gif

Sometimes doing a factory reset works. For random problems here and there.

Previously had a problem where the phone keeps locking the screen. Now it's ok. Crossing fingers it lasts.
