4) follow the input as below

NTP_SERVER=asia.pool.ntp.org

How you all managed to get ICSSGS working ah? I flashed twice, stuck at Samsung GT-I9000 screen.

First was recovery flash from CM7. 2nd time I flashed to stock XXJVT and CWM it, then recovery flash again.

Ended up now I'm on CM9. Not that I'm complaining. Feature sets by CM9 are just unbeatable.

I did that! but still the same on both Hacksung and ICSSGS!!!

Added on February 23, 2012, 2:04 amAND OMG! after I flashed to XXJVT with Semaphore Kernel, then I want to flash something that shows % battery, but is for XXJVU only, so i didnt care and flash it anyway, but after reboot it stuck on the Samsung Galaxy words there at boot screen and then blink blink blink, then I hold 3 combo button to go to CWM, and try reboot, but still cant work, so i wipe cache and partition and plan to flash ICS hacksung which is inside my SD card, but then when I try to choose the file, it says no SD CARD is found! wtf?! so I select Reboot to Download Mode in CWM, then try flash XXJVT again, everything goes smoothly until in Odin, the progress bar is not running when I try to flash it!!!!! so I am very panic, so I just click X on Odin, then unplug phone and turn it off, then when I try to turn it on, it shows a logo of something like a phone connected to the computer, then in the middle got X, something like that, I WAS TOTALLY FREAKED OUT!!! I was so panic, but then I try to go into download mode again, and try reflashing XXJVT, luckily this time it works!! OMG! I am so so scare, just sharing my experience, luckily my phone survived from bricked or etc

i already through dis situation at first time want to flash Custom Rom GB..But suddenly after dis happen i got more worst situation my phone cant go to download mode..i think i bricked it oredy..then my last choice is go get usb jig..dis is d superb hardware..i manage to make my phone back to normal..so better u buy one in case anythg happen...

Are there any common problems with this phone?

After we root the phone, will you lose all the data? Msg's, phone numbers etc.
