Well, SGS was a 2 years old phone.. the thread remains active till today is already very good IMO. Anyway I may need some help I've try to make viber works in Elite Rom but the instruction was very vague..I understand most of it just can't get to it..LOL Hope u guys can spell it out for me.....thanks alot

TO MAKE VIBER WORKS

1. Solution 1
- Modify build prop (i.e with Root Explorer, it is in System dir and with R/O) and replace "GT-I9000" by "SGH-I9000" in the three places where appear
- Maybe it's necessary fix permissions [DALVIK & CWM] (in Advanced option)

2. Solution 2
- Modify build prop (i.e with Root Explorer, it is in System dir and with R/O) and replace "GT-I9000" by "Nexus S" in the three places where appear
- Maybe it's necessary fix permissions [DALVIK & CWM] (in Advanced option)
- With this change, Viber works, and it looks that others app also (including games)

So the file i need to modify is in?? sys? then?

EDIT: the phone apps in elite rom was ugly I use GO dialer but it was unable to? Can anyone offer me another apps? thanks

use build.prop editor.. u cn get it free from play store..

To modify build.prop:
1. The easier way
Like gajahwhite said, download build prop editor from Play Store, edit it using the app.

2. The less easier way
- Open Root Explorer app
- Head to the system directory
- Mount as r/w (you can press it at the top of the app)
- Look for build.prop in the directory
- Tap and hold on "build.prop" file
- Replace "GT - I9000" with "Nexus S"
- Maybe it's necessary to reboot into CWM and fix permissions

Hmm, if I'm not wrong Try asking. Maybe I made a mistake

It's a tweak, not a rom. Basically it tweaks your current rom with init.d scripts and is developed by Pikachu.

It's like a decade since I last heard about Darky
Doc's and Darky's roms were the best during Froyo days.
Will see how it fares for ICS. More roms for us to try

why my whatsapp when i click open then the message came in. It should be push notification rite?

yes it is..
but if not mistaken.. if u turn off & on or reboot ur phone, u need to run the whatsapp 1st.. then ok la.. i always do this to whatsapp, viber, email & gmail..

and if u use task killer or else, u need to exclude whatsapp from autokill list la..

lol.. I never know this. Probably because I always run Whatsapp after a fresh reboot. A habit I guess
