I don't see why there are so many people still on CheckROM and even more trying to use it. Criskelo's ROM is equal or better in every aspect and can even do more stuff. The wifi issue I had was only present in CheckROM which is supposed to be a very developed ROM while the wifi worked in CM9 which is considered pre-alpha.

Plus, CheckROM is KK5 while Criskelo is already KL1. All the themes and mods that I spent hours downloading and like 8 reboots to recovery to apply in the correct sequence are already implemented into Criskelo's ROM by default.

Haha good question. Just lazy to change I guess? Hmm I'll go have a look at it.

Oh btw what wifi issue?

Edit : Dono if I'm looking at the right thing, but it's an ICS themed rom by default?
*
I could not connect to my college wifi which used 802.11-EAP. I even tried replacing all the wifi system files in CheckROM with the one's which I had taken from Criskelo. Nothing worked.

Plus, Criskelo comes with this app that allows you to decide what app starts when you double-tap the home button.

Yeah, it is ICS themed by default, but you can always flash other themes if it is compatible with the jkay version. I flashed the ICS theme in my siggy and it works perfectly.

Seems weird that he PM's people with the link rather than post it up at the main page...

Bezke's ICS is now LP6 already....wondering if I should flash that instead of AndyX since Andyx's is older..

Still wondering how he managed to fry his laptop. All CPU's come with a thermal fail-safe which will crash and turn off the computer if it gets too hot. I have gamed until my CPU reaches 90+C. And it is still fine.

saw an epic reply

flashed v1.27..
battery life is pretty good, comparable or probably better than void echo.. I didn't really note down the exact amount of usage, since I'm playing games that needed data connection, for a few minutes in every hour or so.. I also had push mails for 7 different accounts, auto background sync.. Battery lasted definitely more than a day.. 16 hours with the above usage = 37% battery used, 63% left so far.. had a  full charged (100% + extra 30mins of charging) after flashing v1.27..

Edited: Bought the Pheonix Tweak app, I don't really use it, but I wanna thanks knzo's effort since the release of void until Pheonix, and also aprold wink.gif Also, I've been reading all the criticisms and debates going on in this thread, I didn't wanna participate but I just wanna say that, optimizing codes, adding or removing a few lines or even one line of code(s) is also a form of coding.. As such, knzo's hard work is appreciated and therefore, recognized.. I hereby present my thanks by buying the app as a support to both knzo and aprold.. Hoping to see more from you guys!

so then
i think i should steal siyah kernel n add some nonsense in it
then i take checkrom n add some nonsens in it
then i take thunderbolt n add some nonsense in it

then i renamed it
ultimate fallen
then push it to market
sell it for usd 99.99

then everyone should thank me
for my hard work

how about it guys
or is there anyone movin into a new house?
come
i punch some holes in the wall
then i charge usd 8888.88
its for my design n hardwork

Since we are on the topic of Launchers.

For my tablet : LauncherPro
for my winmo phone running Android: Go launcher
For my S2: ADW

smile.gif I get to try out all the launchers. And I must say that overall, ADW is the best and fastest. This is only noticeable in slower android devices. Our S2 any launcher is also fast.

Actually, what is the difference between AP and original..
I think it's all depends on luck..
Sometime, original spoil first, sometime AP spoil first..

I bought an AP Samsung and until today after 8 years, it is still working..

We would greatly appreciate it if you could stop with the fcuking double emoticons at the end of all your sihtty posts.

Just type like a normal person like how the rest of us type. Keep this crap up and we will all ignore you forever. I am amazed how you can act so obnoxious even though you are so dumb.

Nearly 300 posts of total BULLSIHT.

For me the best browser is Opera Mobile. Super fast and light and easy to use. Tried out xscope and didn't really like it.

Restoring my apps using TB now on my Bezke LP6 ICS. Some people complained last time about how there was no vibration adjustment.

Now there are individual vibration adjustments for notifications, ringtones, and also touch screen.

Overall is much smoother than the LP2 that I had last used.

Are there any custom kernels for ICS yet?

For some reason, my Criskelo + NEAK combo cannot seem to read my USB OTG drives.

Is this feature kernel or ROM related? If kernel then I will flash Siyah immediately.

Anybody else here on Criskelo and has trouble reading any USB thumbdrives using the OTG cable? Mine says USB drive damaged (I have tried multiple drives and they all give the same error). icon_question.gif

Hey ant, so I downloaded cf root and I wanna flash it on my phone itself without need for a PC, can I just extract the tar file, extract the zimage file and flash it in cwm app as flash kernel?
*
Yeah, that is how I do it too. You must be rooted of course to use the CWM app. If use the PC don't need root.

Sorry for hijacking your question tongue.gif

I'm using Criskelo v38.

I just tried my USB OTG. Yes, it is working when I plug in my thumbdrive. No problem here.

You should try to plug in the thumbdrive into the USB OTG first, then only plug into the SGS2...see if it helps
*
Yeah, that is always how I connect mine. Plug in the thumbdrive into the cable then only into the phone.

What kernel are you running? Going to try Siyah now to see if it works or not.

Running on lulzactive on NEAK causes lag in heavy gaming. Have to switch to ondemand and then it is smooth as butter.

I didn't change the kernel. I just flashed Criskelo ROM v38 and that's it. Everything seems to be working fine. No tweaks etc...

Criskelo Comes with Siyah by default.

Just flashed the latest Siyah. Phone crashed the first time I plugged in my thumbdrive. Rebooted and it worked fine. Just cleared my caches and it works fine as well rclxm9.gif

Goodbye NEAK. It was nice knowing you...

Ok it turned off. What a relief, lol. Ive tried dload the same insecure kernel again, as well as the odin. But still, i couldnt find the file from the odin, eventhough the file IS there. hurmm  rclxub.gif

Follow the exact steps there. Don't bother with the insecure kernel stuff. This method is much easier

Amazing. Just downloaded and flashed it earlier, and now the recovery is in a different colour...

Missing the NEAK recovery which was in blue. Best recovery I have ever seen.

Hey everyone, back after 2 days with 498 new messages and 25 pages to read, so I'm just skipping to the current page tongue.gif

Tested Siyah 2.6.11 battery life, I could go 3 hours from 100% to 99% in standby.

Did I miss anything major?

-Back to the topic, I found out that Opera Mobile lags when playing the desktop version of YouTube. The video lags slightly and the scrolling is extremely jerky. Using the default browser, everything is ultra smooth. Will test out Xscope to see if it is any better.
