Is there anyone who bought anything from US before???
How long should i wait if i buy smth from US???
Is it safe to buy smth from ebay using paypal???
*
depends on the type of service u choose. normally using the priority mail is recommended. arriving within one week.
wanna buy something from an ebay seller first u have to browse through his points and feedbacks

hi guys, question here, let's say i bulk some toys from Japan, and the customs charge me some import tax. do i need to go all the way to KLIA to clear the custom tax and bring my items home? or is there another way like paying taxes online? hmm.gif

Right! And also not that our parcels will get detained by customs everytime.

Henry, next time try not to buy anything which will cost you more than RM500 even if you use EMS/Speedpost. Its risky.. smile.gif
*
at least not with the real value of the merchandise written on the invoice..
if possible, ask the seller to declare lower values..

Maybe can try order from HK site. I don't get tax from HK site out of 3 ordering. But get tax from jpn site most of the time. Recently got order one big box hobby ship from hk and exceed rm500. But no tax and straight to my doorstep. Order one small box ab from hlj about rm500 and stop at custom. Even didn't tax, but got to declare at custom. Waste my time to go there. Damn.
*
the chances of getting taxed has no relation to which country you order your stuff from. it depends on luck.. and HLJ declares real value for the parcel thats why we dont buy too much in one shipment from there.

HLJ also no allow to declare as gift...reason is they use software to print invoice  sweat.gif
come on...which business software not so flexible that you cant change the invoice amount and name manually... In my experience, most seller from US dont want to declare lower value and write as gift, some of them say will break business rule shocking.gif
*
yes. if you buy from well-known company like HLJ they usually have their own principle that is to not make false declarations on the invoice. It's already been stated clearly in their T & C in their website.. on the other hand, if you make purchase from sellers from ebay most of them are willing to do so, so that you're happy and will buy with them again..

Not sure is it luck. Maybe the custom take more consent package from japan as they know item from japan easly exceed rm500. Or most of the item from japan is expensive. Or they have experience record show item from hk is average lower value.
*
there's so many parcels coming in everyday i dont think they will get to make an average out of those.. sweat.gif

QUOTE(ozak @ Jan 17 2009, 11:13 PM)
Actually it is not principle but require from japan gov. The jpn custom/gov tax will audit the company acc. If they found out acc not tally, they were in trouble. But I can ask HK site to declare lower value or as gift when brought from them. And some jpn site also. thumbup.gif
*
yeah. on the other hand, false custom declaration is actually a crime.. sweat.gif

Guy! I looking for an online shop where I can pre-order limited/raw items from figure expo in Japan. Currently Hobby Search or HLJ doesn't sell any limited/raw items which were on sales during the figure expo in Japan.
*
there's no such online store i guess. even if there is, it's gonna be very very expensive. you can look for those in ebay..

M'sia kastam have always tax item + shipping.
your item value even with shipping is quite low, wonder why you get tax, i hope you are not using ems, coz thn it's not taxable since below RM500
*
i guess it must be quite big/heavy that it looks more expensive than the value declared..
btw valho, i've never been to KLIA to pick up parcels myself so just wondering can we get to the KLIA post office using the KLIA express?
