I think the English site was down for a day or 2. Its up and running again and now with SAL unregistered shipping!
http://www.amiami.jp/shop/?set=english

Oh and I would just like to know about customs charges like what BEastX have mentioned, is it true that the import duty will be charged based on the original cost + postage of the item even if I bought it under promotion? Coz HLJ is having discounts on EMS shipping. 20% if im not mistaken. Will they make charges based on the original cost or the cost which I have paid after discounts?  icon_rolleyes.gif
Original cost as stated on the EMS sticker, you can argue with them with proof (As I had during the free shipping by HJL, 20% will be harder than 100%). The burden will be on you, to be safe just make sure the CIF with the original un-discount shipping is below RM500... safe you petrol/travel, voice, time, saliva.... etc...

Yen is 0.0349 this week (on customs.gov.my).... I'll expect it lower next week...

the custom just main tembak randomly hold back the parcel ka?
*ISH VERY SAD AND FRUSTRATED*
They probably want you to open and check..... Anything other than tobacco and alcohol is tax free, if CIF is below RM500... fight for your rights...

If the post office deliver to wrong person (wrong person sign for the item)
What can/should I do?
The burden will be on the delivery company to demand from the person that signed for it.... If you're going through ebay (or even paypal to a limited degree)... you're protected

Okay, good enough, I guess.  rclxms.gif

But just another thing I'm wondering is, and if anyone can help me, since I am a noob at using credit card also, what do they mean by refunding to the same credit card account? Does it mean that when they refund, it is the same as they are paying my outstanding balance? What happens when I have no outstanding balance? (I realize that this may be out of topic so if somebody can reply me thru PM is also appreciated.)
negative on you cc balance.... like cash back on cc, refunded a few times already.

Below RM500 (Product+shipping)?, Above, needs to pay tax. If below and still tahan, they want to check or for you to explain the contains, but no tax.

guys,

sorry for being noob. i just registered a new account with paypal but my ccard is still not verified. so am i able to use my new paypal to pay my ebay winning bid immediately?

tq
If your credit card statement is online... you can verify it (with the code) in about 3 days...

However before verification.... I guess you're unable to use your cc, to pay..

usually that isn't the case, unless you going with freight/container shipment... as that will be included as part of the item/product cost... while normal parcel delivery isnt

i might be wrong unless there's actual custom officer around to give comments on this, heh
Shipping/freight charges are included in tax calculation.... not a custom officer, but dealt with many.

Example ... item with 0% tax can be moved/imported with a container, even the cost of shipping the container there is not taxed. Example: personnel things or computer equipment.

my HLJ shiping is SAL, and they provide tracking number as i post above..
and at the same time i have another order, small pack with no traking number....
guess this time is the parcel is big so HLJ treat this like.... im not sure biggrin.gif
Big parcel.... exceed SAL requirement.... will be posted as Registered SAL, which might be more expensive and slower than EMS (up to a certain weight)

I think you meant SAL Parcel, right? SAL registered/non registered, dimensions are the same.
Shipping cost is calculated in, there is no argument in that, if they did not... then lucky you.

Yes, SAL Parcel which is registered...

Hi,

Does anyone have experience buying figures which cost RM600 (including EMS shipping) but did not get taxed?

Thanks!
If you're lucky to escape..... I'm sure many have escaped being taxed, pure luck....

QUOTE(naith @ Apr 13 2011, 07:50 PM)
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could share some advice on something I just encountered. I ordered some World of Warcraft figures (totalling up to USD 5X), excluding shipping from the US, but instead of receiving my shipment, FeDex sent me a letter, saying that they need an exemption letter from KPDNKK before they release my shipment.

When I called FeDex up, they said that for incoming shipments of Toys, that we were suppose to apply for exemption letter, something to do with the Toy act which came into play August last year. I was wondering if this is a norm? Does it take very long for the exemption letter to be issued?

Another thing about the letter which bugged me (the most) was the fact that I am getting taxed from customs for the shipment. The last page of the letter says that my total was RM 15X (for the toys) and RM 384 for the Freight charges, which is ridiculous to me since I only paid USD 24 for the shipping. As a result, I'm being taxed RM 5X. Are they allowed to jack up the freight charges just to tax me?
under 14 y.o toys... yes, new gov. rule.

Jacking up freight, No, show them the charges....postage/cost/invoice... proof

I guess you have to deactivate the billing agreement so they won't auto charge you money and have enough time for you to edit your order until you satisfy.  hmm.gif
Or have 2 separate (or more) accounts, one for pre-order/one for in-stock.... pay by Paypal, but disable the billing aggrement... It should give you full control of how the goods are shipped.
