rumor has it the upcoming G lenses is powerzoom 12-50mm f3.5-5.6 pancake. if its true, seem like a weird move by sony UNLESS its really sharp if its really sharp, imho sony will have the winner in hand with the new G powerzoom + NEX 7 combo SAR

Does anyone carry NEX 7 and first reaction from public is that it's an expensive gear? I even conceal the SONY and NEX 7 marking with black tape lol Or is it the design that ooze premium?

Although its small and compact, still feel like its too bulky for traveling. Just 7+1855 and 50f1.8 inside bag, used probably for 0.5% of the time. RX100... hmmmm

anyone know the technique to focus on objects at infinity using SEL lenses?
i tried to focus on (full) moon using SEL1855 both manual and DMF mode but failed
keep rotating the focus ring till furthest end, failed
try to focus on the edge of the moon, failed too
change the focus size, failed again. duh

QUOTE(RX-78-2 @ Oct 12 2012, 08:13 PM) when last time i had my SEL18200, i shot it with my old NEX5 only AF and handheld. No problem at all. even i tried MF with Konica Hexanon 80-200mm F4 and Vivitar 70-210 F3.8 also no problem. What's your setting? i guess your shutter speed too slow. probably due to my environment that time. I'm not on land but on vessel during monsoon season. its heaving and swaying all the time lol gonna try again when going out at night soon » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Upgrading nex 7 to latest version now. oh hell yea, no more record button Didnt use bracketing before but new update make me interested. just need to wait for PZ1650 review (doesnt sound promising at the moment) UPDATE seem like image review after shoot become slower. spot metering also act very sensitively, very prone to overexposure This post has been edited by toughnut: Oct 18 2012, 06:19 PM
