Advanced Control Dial
Mode control dial and Quick Navi assure quick and intuitive operation comparable to a DSLR's Control dial, Fn (function) button and touch screen (including touch shutter function) combine to greatly facilitate operation and speed getting the shot.

it's a mistake by sony i believe, NEX-6 does not have touch shutter.

Second correction: Sony says this is a mistake. It does not have a touch shutter. We apologize for the mistake.

Hey guys,
Just a quick note since there is conflicting information on the web right now. The NEX-6 LCD is not touch sensitive. Sony has confirmed this with us this morning and is in the process of correcting their web site.

guys, whats the difference between 5R and 6?

I counted these -

1. viewfinder for 6
2. touch screen for 5R
3. buildin flash for 6

thats it. anything else? the rest of the specs seems similar
*
NEX 6 got a mode dial, ISO standard hotshoe connection
i think the build material of 5R is metal hmm.gif hmm.gif

Body only should be 2,5k then.

Amazon selling for 800+

Street pricing should be 2,5k.

I have no need for the pancake lens.

if can get this price than drool.gif drool.gif

but don't know why our electronic products are always more expensive than the US retail price sad.gif

the tentative arrival date is end of nov, i thought mid nov sad.gif

I wonder what's the mystery gift if pre order with studio zaloon?
In taiwan the pre order gift is an extra battery+ external charger, seems much more worth it.

I still can't make up my mind to get 5r or 6 yet sad.gif

After reading bunch of reviews it seems the main advantage of 6 over 5r is

(i) handling
(ii) hotshoe
(iii) dual dial

but performance wise they are about the same? So is it worth it to pay extra rm500 for 6?  ohmy.gif

Also i really liked the 180 degrees flip of the 5r's screen, hard choice argh!  rclxub.gif

Btw i'm going to travel on the first of Dec, think the 5r and 6 will be in before that?
Thanks sifus for comments!  wink.gif
*
got the same dilemma as well rclxub.gif

coming from a point and shoot I'm used to taking picture through the screen, but sometimes under bright sunlight it's really hard to take picture. So spending the extra RM600 for the NEX-6 to get the EVF seems worth it hmm.gif

its way too much expensive.

Added on November 5, 2012, 1:12 amis sony crazy or what? the 5R is just more expensive than 5N about USD50-100, which convert to around RM150-300 extra,
*
Sony Malaysia official pricing is always more expensive than others(Sony US, HK , Taiwan)

QUOTE(geek8585 @ Nov 7 2012, 09:42 PM)
i think it should run on your phone hotspot... maybe it is something to tweak with the setting...
as for remote control features with your phone, i not sure it need to work as "camera-router-phone" or "camera-phone"... if "c-r-p" then really besar kepala when outdoor  sweat.gif

i also need to test it out once i collected my 6, anyhow... i assumed it can be connected to normal router modem right ????  sad.gif

wait for next firmware update?
*
If i am not mistaken i've seen video on youtube showing it can work as "camera-phone" hmm.gif

Here's the video showing the remote control feature. I think the phone is connected directly to the camera.
