Yeah I know it's expensive compare to Octopus X10 ~ RM50 nia..Well, this is called impulsive buying..beh tahan liao and that day that shop selling Octopus at Millenium Square closed..and I kenot stand so I check out the fames LYN seller in Digital Mall Sec14...As he is reputable and telling me ilens is similar to kenko & Hoya & from Korea..so I trusted him lor.. sad.gif ..furthermore X10 for what I paid for a X4..I think berbaloi lor haha.. ANyway happy wth the result..weekend gonna spam more macro pictures.. now testing wth my buddy SEL16F28.. Well, I think still prefer the zoom lens pairing wth maro filters..Dun really like the pancake. sad.gif

BTW, what cincai filter you used to compare wth a better filter hmm.gif ..I also saw the thread created by IeR on filter and he compare B&W wth Hoya if I'm not mistaken..Even that also got diff liao haha
QUOTE(Dreamworks @ Feb 8 2012, 06:49 PM)
Not trying to be mean or anything, but RM150 for iLens is rather expensive... Quality should be more or less equivalent to Octopus only sweat.gif
Expect at least ~RM1k for the EVF and ~RM500 for OVF, I've asked a few shops in Gurney last time.

Is it really cheap over there compare to M'sia? When I was there, I dun find their electronics to be cheap except their food haha. furthermore, how about the waranty? covering International or just Taiwan...unless you're like string fellow a frequent Taiwan travellers biggrin.gif
QUOTE(teikwing @ Feb 9 2012, 11:31 PM)
any of you here have experience of purchasing camera accessories from taiwan? am here in taipei till sunday & looking to hunt for a UV filter for the 5N (been using it without any filter for 3k shots). the price might not differ much compared to msia but since i'm here can just do some shopping. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Dreamworks @ Feb 11 2012, 09:50 AM)
Guys, need your opinion... For macro photography, will LED lighting (continuous) be suitable? Or am I better off with a flash? hmm.gif

Thinking of getting:
LED light (can also use as torchlight during power outage laugh.gif )
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/syd-0808-64-l...rder-4-aa-37409
Or maybe macro ring light...
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/yongnuo-wj-60...-3-x-aaa-109212

But definitely getting this IR remote because it's too darn cheap tongue.gif

haha..most probably ancient worm. That's the prominent tiny creatures around my house for my macro adventure.

BTW, for those haven't buy from DX, they are reliable and if item not working, you can actually send back to them via cheapest post and they will refund you the amt by asking you to buy something & minus the postage you send back..They will replace the goods or you decided to nuy another better item minus the postage you send back.. rclxms.gif
QUOTE(Dreamworks @ Feb 11 2012, 01:16 PM)
DX's prices are quite reasonable, my only concern is their terrible packaging. I once bought an item but it came full of sticky cellotape... Like in layers and layers and layers, dunno what the staff was thinking rclxub.gif
Eeewww! What is that? sweat.gif Worm?!?

QUOTE(jimmyyap03 @ Feb 13 2012, 06:32 PM)

Haha.. agreed on Borneo sunset..dunno why much better than Peninsular. I also taken one of my best sunset in KK. I can't get such a superb sunset in Peninsular so far and that was taken using my Nokia N8..I got the best comment & vote on that sunset photo I posted in "molome" haha

What I did is to get a step up ring  49-52mm. I share the filter for my other 52mm lens.  Means you should probably think ahead which other lens you want to get and what size it would be first.
I'm using F16 to F22 on the kit, cause i like all the max depth i can get  smile.gif , and it blacks out the objects in the foreground.
BTW.. sweat.gif The SEL18200 price increase is real.
