Permanon is good but it only lasted me 4 month then need re-apply
*
So it costs you how much? When you did others outside, the maintenance? and Warranty? Somehow you paying your own warranty?

Well just IMHO... I know everyone thinks differently... Maybe it is just me, SG, PPS, Ultra Glass... Its all good, but the maintenance...

QUOTE(lunchtime @ Jan 26 2012, 11:57 PM)
no point to Permanon if the underlying base is not clean. And i doubt the majority here knows how to clean the underlying base. In fact, most car owners don't even know how to wash a car.
*
You got a good point, preparation is essential.

But permanon is easy to apply love it as it require no buff just mix water and spray easy...

But i miss the shiny look... Oh it works superb on windshield too!! Works way netter than rainX hahaha

Overall permanon is not bad just my car has too much stone chip...
*
Yes, I stopped my rainaway too... But if you worry the shiny look, please rest assured Permanon Platinum is coming in... It is just slightly expensive, even more we have Permanon Aircraft soon, the top grade used for planes/ship/train.

QUOTE(chris_tco @ Jan 27 2012, 12:48 AM)
hi, do u sell WS Platinum Lack Protecktor Wax from Germany? I've been looking for it months, but can't find it in malaysia. If u have, i want to purchase from u.
*
Too bad I don't have contact for that yet... But as a piece of humble advice, why wax when you can do coating at such cheap price?

Not saying expensive is good, or cheap is no good... But even the weakest coating will be better than wax... smile.gif

And if you insist on wax, I recommend Optimum Car Wax... Same spray on just like Permanon, and good thing is... It doesn't suffer the weaknesses if wax after rain... Strongly recommended for wax users... One bottle easily last you for 3-4 years...

You sell optimum?
*
I don't sell, I just know the distributor. But I do use a few of the products, it makes taking care of my car so much easier.

QUOTE(chris_tco @ Jan 27 2012, 09:53 AM)
how much do quote Permanon Platinum or  Permanon Aircraft per bottle? Is it a coating as well?
*
Yes bro, both are coating. just another level higher than current Permanon Car... The content of core Silicium is much much higher, therefore more wet and shiny look, lasts longer since the Platinum is premium version, and Aircraft are meant for Ship/Train/Aircraft which is to last very long.

Platinum and Aircraft only comes standalone bottle though.

Platinum 100ml is about RM200

Aircraft 35ml already RM120.

You only need 20ml for a normal sedan or hatch though.

I'm interested? How do I go about it? Wonder how good is this Permanon compare with waxing I normally done with my Meguairs Quik Detailer.
*
Simply say like what bro Calvin told, Permanon is very fast, hassle free, and it is a known name for coating, search it up... Waxing, on the other hand, is total opposite.

i think it's better, of coz, except of front grille and headlight.
*
I agree to some extent... But the rear I think it is much better design...

There is some vertical squarish lines by the side of rear bumper which i think looks nice. Btw, they painted the lower part of the bumper black, along the reflectors.  Also looks nice.
*
Yes the black part is smart... Especially if with white... Before this they are just like some inexperienced bodykit maker who sprayed entire thing in same color.

Check your MAF/MAP sensor... And it is generally for Honda to check and reset ECU mapping after throttle body cleansing. The AFR may have been affected henceforth idling vibration.

Illuminated side step installed. Anyone side step illumination can be turned on/off? Mine is always on when open the door even in daylight. Forgot to ask the accs guy whether it can be done.
[attachmentid=2754640][attachmentid=2754641][attachmentid=2754643]

Looking at the illumination, thinking how cool it is if it can be done at the wording of the rear chrome bar. So when you stop, the 'HYBRID' and 'INSIGHT' will be illuminated.
Mm...perhaps a low cost glow-in-dark sticker will do smile.gif
*
Depends on the setting, mostly directly connected to the lock sensor... Try open your door, and press the lock sensor (if you know what I mean), the light should be off, and therefore when you close the door, the door surely will press the lock sensor to indicate door is properly closed, and thus the light will be out.

And for speedo reading, it is always faster around 5km/h than actual. In Civic FD, our original HU panel has a setting that allow us to read the actualy VSP (Vehicle Speed Pulse), it shows the actual speed on the car, which I found it matches the reading that of my GPS. The difference is 5km/h so far so stable.

Did any bro with full Mugen kit actually fitted in Supercharger or Turbocharger? That day on KL/Seremban highway there is one white Insight with full kit just keep flashing at people and zoom away...

Lol, I am test driving Preve that time... I have routes to follow... Well, good for him/her though, perhaps should just be more considerate on the road.

I am fully aware that there are fully kitted and turbo-ed CRZ too...

Hi,

May I know which SC you took your car to? I took my car to Chan Sow Lin SC previously, they also say normal until I took the technician out, but unfortunately that day the sound doesn't appear. I just show them the clip in youtube, and they are aware of the sound but so no changes / repair made. They told me notify them if there's still sound on next service maintenance.

I think so far few forumers have their windscreen issue fixed on Glenmarie SC, maybe you could have a try there?
*
Thanks bro for helping on the survey.

Hmm, didn't know Insight faced this small problems... I did not drive one, else I would be happy to investigate and fix it... Only got City and Civic at home, both already fixed by myself for all those noise...
