Its an Avanza with an SUV body.
Had a ride in it. and it feels like... an avanza.

buy it because u like the design..but practicality..nope. i find the driving position is a bit tight for a tall person. even the 2nd row seat is not that comfortable. i like the disgn too..but considering the price..i'd go for grand livina or exora cfe.

not very worth it IMO

and all the bell and whistle like ABS and EBD and dual airbags only comes in the S spec, which costs close to 100k

100k can buy lots of better and safer cars like the Forte, Exora Bold, Inspira 2.0 and Cruze 1.8.

or you can even top up a bit more (15k-20k) for a Grand Vitara if you insist for a SUV.

my house has one, and the owner is my sister. design wise not bad, comfortability is not that good but still within my tolerance limit, but make sure you test drive, during test drive, see if you are comfortable with your "left" foot, make sure u can find a comfortable space for yourself.

power wise, 0-80 kph is still ok, but dont expect too much for this 1.5 litre for such a big car.

FC is not that great but it is not the worst, do not compare with those small sedan for it's fc, they are incomparable.

one of the main reasons why my family/ sister decided to go for Rush is because of it's design and it is a "taller" car. snatch thives and those rempit would not have an "easier" chance to break the window to steal your bag given the height of the car.

but if you were to ask me, I would not buy one... i'm driving a small sedan myself.

I have driven this car for a few times (manual). Not so pleasant experience for long journey. 60kmh already need to shift to fifth gear. Driving 110kmh and above is like driving a lorry. The engine is so loud like this car has 3 gear only. My in law (who owns the car) regretted buying the car. I have advised her last time the car is big with small displacement and the maintenance will kill her too especially the tyre and suspension but you know lah wimminz everything is about 'gaya' and 'rush decision'. Now she ate her word. Wanting to trade in her Rush with Inspira biggrin.gif but the secondhand value not so good also. Pity her tongue.gif

I reckon you'd be better off getting a (used) CR-V/Rav4/X-trail.

Those are pretty comfortable. Downside is they are 2.0's. So you'd suffer a bit for road tax. A decent 2004 car you can get it at 60k? (price seen in carlist.com.my)

When I went to Toyota Showroom 3 years ago, went for Rush seeing its looks.. but after test driving it, regretted so much as this car was mere like a 15 yr old Vannette.... So fkd up performance and internals...

Decided to spend the money on TRD vios and enjoying it till now.. now its time for trading in TRD also...

My advise would be is dont by Rush....

I can't seem to find a thread regarding this car.
And I'm kinda Interested in that car.planning to get one but isn't sure bout the fuel consumption and also the maintenance cost of this car.
Need some feedback on this car.
Thanks..

TS,
My own opinion, d Rush is for those who dun like d typical boxy MPV shape (think Unser, Avanza with chromed bull bars, side steps, rear mounted spare wheel, flared wheel arches n 4wd look alike wheels etc), but needs a simple RWD, 7-seater people carrier. In other words its a MPV tat thinks its a SUV.

In other aspects, I'd say d Exora Bold whacks it interms of NVH, pracality, power to weight ratio, n $$ paid wit goodies in return.

bro... thanks for the bolded part. The bolded part itself is a ++ point, will suggest this to my gurl see what she have to say. Now days the break in through the window especially for ladies handbag is terrible. Nearly everyday we have such news.. A higher car will really be less prone to such robbery.

Even those 5 mill security tint might not help when they pierce through using something sharp before smashing the window.
