Looking for a portable player for gym and outdoor use.
Looking for one less than rm250 with good sound quality. Storage size doesn't matter.
Format support doesn't matter (buying this as a present for gf...mp3 support is good enough)
Good battery life is a plus feature.

Navigation must be easy. Better if got scroll feature.

I'd recommend you to get X3 + a decent amp OR a DX50, depending on your sound sig. IM50 directly from X3 is good but since you mention that your budget is 1k, try to match X3 with a decent amp to get the best out of it.

ok lets say i get x3, which amp u recommend, budget around around 300. DX50 seems interesting too.

sorry can't exactly pinpoint which one. But definitely not E17 as both share the same amp. Or you can go for X1 + E12 combo if you don't mind being a bit bulky. Better than X3 alone. Just slightly more than a DX50 but still under 1k IIRC. So you won't need to think much when upgrading your IEM later on.

You can't pair an external DAC with the Clip+

Go FiiO X1 DAP + E11K amplifier

Get the X1, and spend the rest on new IEM to replace the IM50
You will hear the biggest improvement in SQ.

Keep your Clip+ and IM50 as your secondary system

Fiio x1 + e11k (as mentioned above) OR Fiio x3 (stand alone) for my AKG k545?

FiiO X3 replacement model will be launched in March/April according to FiiO spokesman in HeadFi forum.
Maybe you can wait a little bit for the new model or can go for thr X1 + e11k for the time being

A good decent mp3 player would be around rm300 leaving only RM100 for your headphones. I recommend to just use your smart phone and use that rm400 just for headphones.

I recommend to go test them yourself first. Sometimes your IEM synergy with those DAP might not be to your liking.
