my tab made me very angry today.
all of a sudden the wifi direct function just stopped working.

cant transfer any file at all. keep saying receiving failed.
i did not change any settings at all. it was working fine up till today.

wonder if its a hardware problem. :-(

Getting frustrated with tube mate. Lately some of the videos, especially music videos can't download.

You guys have any other app to recommend that works like tube mate?

This morning I read news in GSM arena saying that galaxy s2 and note wilk get ics in march. And galaxy tabs will get it after that. Maybe sometime in April or June.

But don't wait for the official update.they are often slow. I hope cyanogen will be faster.

i was so disappointed at 3.1, almost feel like wana throw away the tab.
luckily people in this forum intro me overcome rom, which is 3.2, and guide me how to flash.

now i'm so glad with my tab.
overall a much pleasant experience.

however dont expect miracles, even on 3.2, most apps, transitions, still slower than sgs2.
expectable though, since the tab is actually the LG optimus 2x with a bigger screen, cant compete with sgs2. (tegra 2, ULP Geforce vs exynos mali 400)


seeing how much improvement 3.2 had over 3.1,
i'm looking forward for a stable 4.0 to appear.
hope it will be even smoother.

is it OTA update? :-)

I have this prob too. I don't think it has to do with overcome rom.
Before i flash, it was very slow to load also.

Use default keyboard, its slightly faster.

Sometimes I just hope Google make the basics more polish in their os.

I'm not sure this way works or not, but no harm to try if you're free.

few months back, there was a firmware update for sgs2. not the 2.3.6,
still the native 2.3.3 with extra asian language support.

as usual i tried using KIES.
This KIES is really NOT USER FRIENDLY and refuse to JUST WORK.
same case like you half way always disconnect or hang.

i went to many forum and check, mainly in jaceooi blog and read their comments.
at that moment, my sgs2 was also stock and rooted.

i tried many times with my laptop also fail. some people suggested me to stop my anti virus.
i tried but also fail. so what i install the latest KIES on another pC, which is my netbook, it does not have anti virus at all.

strangely it just works on my netbook
maybe the anti virus is causing prob.

so try uninstall your antivirus, or use KIES on a PC that has no antivirus.

that's great news. :-)
really hope official ics, or cyanogen 9 for tab arrive.

about the camera, both camera not working?
is the video call camera working?

Sigh, bought a expensive 3rd party charger that says can charge the ipad. Output is 2.1A.
I thought 2A is to charge tablet, so can work for tab also.

The charger is the USB kind, so the tab USB cable also can plug in and charge. But when plug in, it says mtp mode on and never charge.

So I tried put ipad to charge using tab charger. It also says not charging.
Samsung and apple really not good friend lo. :-(

Further checking shows Samsung charger is 2.0 A, ipad is 2.1A.
Never thought that 100mA can make such difference.

But if i modify my tab USB cable, then I cant use it for USB transfer anymore?

What so hard. You ask this at least 5 times already.

dint notice this before, i download super compass from market and tried.
the tab really pointing at the wrong direction.

the same app on my android phone point to the correct north,
the sun is now shining from the east side. (the way it should be)

but on the tab, it thinks that West is North.
the red needle that is suppost to point at North, is pointing at west, on the tab.

strangely, gps software like sygic is working,
maybe a wrong compass wont affect navigation?

by the way i'm on overcome rom, 3.2

I saw a galaxy tab p1000 TV cable today, the kind similar to play station one, with 3 output for TV, red white and yellow that one.
Hope you guys know what I'm talking about.

The cable end is the same as tab10.1, but is it compatible?any one tried before?
Its rm48, I feel its quite OK, more convenient than the HDMI adapter which only works for new TV.
The cable I saw can work for almost all TV.

What about quality? Same as HDMI?

I've just tested the USB on the go cable with a keyboard and mouse.they work, but only one at a time.

If i connect a USB hub, and connect both the mouse and keyboard, will both of them work at the same time?

Please let me know, so i can decide whether or not to buy a usb huhb.

i just flash my tab to the kang ICS rom.
it feels great, alot smoother in scrolling.

this time flashing much more better than my first attempt. yeah.
now doing the titanium backup thing, such a pain....

also some pendrive seems to fail. i think the file system format not compatible.

some mouse also cause the "hi power usb device connected" thing, and never detect it.

this tab is kindda "moody", it only chooses device it likes.

Hi friend, i totally agree that the tab is not responsive as ipad.
i constantly get trolled by gf that her ipad is smoother.
which is indeed the case, screen rotation, keyboard popup speed, browser scrolling, is very very smooth.

try install the kang ICS rom, everything works, except the camera. (i never use it anyway, the quality is crap, for video call rather use my android phone)
ICS a big improvement over the previous rom i use, which is the overcome rom (which in turn is a big improvement over stock 3.1 that came with my tab)


if you want to wait for ICS, it wont get it so early.
samsung already announce the first wave of device to get it is galaxy S2 and note, which is by first quarter (march/april)
(personally i feel the s2 is already perfect, dont think will benefit much from ICS, i mean, how much can you improve on something that is already lag free? they should focus on the tab instead, but i guess there are more S2 users that tab users in the world, so their decision make sense also)
