Hi, there has any basic medical insurance can be suggestion. I have bought the Hong Leong Assurance term cover 10 with sum assured RM200,000. My age is 27 years old.

Whether I am still need to buy a medical insurance? This is because government hospital's facilities are quite okay and the cons is just need of waiting time.

If you are able to put away rm200 - rm300 monthly for insurance then you should consider to do so.

Waiting time really doesn't matter unless time is what you don't have.

My client who is a manager at a MNC in Malaysia just recently did a surgery that cost RM30k. Her company benefit only covered RM7k.

Best,

It depends on a lot of factors ie: how the doctor writes the report, how the hospital makes the claim and of course how the agent assist the client with the check in.

Just this month I had a client went for a check, he managed to claim from Allianz 🤓

wow! So if the doctor writes nothing abnormal been found then cannot claim already?

How was your client? Did he been dignosed with any sickness? Or you also duno the details of the report? Thanks

He's doing fine.

Last year, I had another case whereby a client got admitted and GL issued although he is within the 120days waiting period. Long story short upon discharge the hospital informed cannot claim.

For most agents, that would be the end of it. But because of my financial audit background I understand processes hence I managed to interview all the individuals involved with the claim process and got my client his claims.

Hence at the end of the day, choosing a product is important, choosing which insurance company is important, but the most important is still the agent from my experience.

If you're in the process of buying an insurance, try to meet a few and interview them. Ask them how are they going to plan your insurance coverage based on your needs.

I'll do you 1 better, I'll let you call up any of my clients and ask for a recommendation, they'll be more than happy to do so.

Best,
Jiansheng
